Day 181: June 30, 2011

I wouldn't say today was bad...but I wouldn't say it was a good day.  I'm really glad it's over.

I had promised the director of "Annie Warbucks" that I would make copies of the script for the kids.  Well, he got me the pages numbers and stuff today, so I set out to make all the copies.  Shauna had already copied everything for herself, so I just had to use that.  Easy, right?  WRONG!!!  I couldn't find her script.  I could find the music, but not the script.  So when I copied them music, that went just fine.  However, I had to use the actual script for the copies and the copy machine was being a FREAKING PAIN IN THE BUTT!!!  I literally kicked it like three times and hit it once.  It kept copying pages in the wrong direction.  Or it would jam.  Finally, I used the printer/scanner combo to copy the main copies and then ran all the other copies on the big copier.  But then, it didn't have enough memory to run the whole thing at once, so I had to break it up into sections.  Ugh...it took FOREVER!!!  And the heat coming off the copier was INSANE!!  I was so hot!  And totally exhausted by the time I was done.  But everything's copied.  The girls can have their scripts on Saturday.

Crazy rain today!!!  Big thunderstorms!!!

Gala rehearsal tonight.  I am wondering how I'm going to learn all that music with everything else going on.  Ugh.

Day 180: June 29, 2011

You know, if someone had me under surveillance, they would be bored out of their skulls watching me.

Today...I worked.  And then I worked some more.  And then I went home and watched Robin Hood on DVD.  What an exciting day!!!  Not.

Day 179: June 28, 2011

Worked all day, rehearsed all evening.  I'm sensing a running theme here...

The only bummer of the day was that I couldn't go see the Pirates exhibit at the museum with my family.  Stupid work.

Day 178: June 27, 2011

Woke up with cramps.  Ugh!!!  I don't get them very often, but when I do, they are not fun.  Spent a good portion of the morning laying on the floor with my legs up on my chair.  That, and the Ibuprofen, took care of them for most of the day.  I had to take more Ibuprofen tonight.  Feeling better at the moment.

Worked today.  That's about it.  Oh, and a short rehearsal for the nuns.  Kinda lazy day, really.  Good, since I didn't really feel all that great.

Day 177: June 26, 2011

Long day!!!  Started with the early session of Stake Conference.  It started at 9!  Ugh, that's early for me right now!  I never have to be anywhere earlier than 10 am!!!  But I made it.  The session was great!  I really do love it when we have a visiting authority.  They are always amazing!!

I stayed after and sang with the choir in the 2nd session as a favor to Melissa.  Then I went home.

Tonight we had a fundraiser concert for LOT, "Salute to America".  I sang in the choral number at the end.  It was the Wilhousky "Battle Hymn of the Republic", which I've known forever.  It was a lot of fun!  The whole concert was fabulous!

Day 176: June 25, 2011

I had to work today.  I don't like working on Saturdays, but I do it when I need to.  Heck, it's a paycheck.

Stake Conference tonight was very good!  We have a visiting General Authority, Elder Payne.  I'm excited to hear more from him tomorrow!

Day 175: June 24, 2011

An uneventful day at work.  Then a trip to the temple!  I was going to do baptisms with my ward, but there were way too many people, so I did an endowment session instead.  Wonderful night at the temple!

Day 174: June 23. 2011

Not that much exciting today.  I worked.  What else is new?

I finished watching MI-5.  I'd kind of like to watch the next season, but Richard Armitage won't be on it, so what's the point?

Day 173: June 22, 2011

Work...work...voice lesson...rehearsal.  Typical Wednesday.  But included in that were 4 episodes of Robin Hood.  And one episode of MI-5.  I really need to do something about this obsession with Richard Armitage.  I am NEVER going to meet the guy.

Ben is in the hospital again with respiratory problems.  Poor little guy!  :(

Day 172: June 21, 2011

I finished reading the Book of Mormon today for the 2nd time in less than a year.  Go me!  I'm going to read it again before the year is over.  3 times in a year?  That's definitely a new record!  For me, at least!

It seemed like such a waste of sunshine on the first day summer for me to stay inside all day.  So when I got home from work, I put on my swimsuit and laid outside for awhile.  I got some odd sun burns, but they can't be too bad.  I wasn't out there for that long.  Maybe 45 minutes or so.

Day 171: June 20, 2011

I woke up this morning with a stuffed up nose.  Actually, I woke up several times in the night with intense pain in my shoulder.  STUPID NECK AND SHOULDER!!!!!  I JUST got a massage and went to the chiropractor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Had a lazy morning, worked for LOT in the afternoon, and had rehearsal tonight.  It was music rehearsal for the nuns.  Guess who got the chant solos?  ME!!!!  I'm very excited!!!

Day 170: June 19, 2011

Happy Father's Day!!  Church was good today.  I especially liked Alaina's lesson in Relief Society on Temples.

Family dinner tonight.  Lots of GOOD eats!!!

Oy, my shoulder and neck are KILLING ME tonight!  And I just had a massage and went to the chiropractor.  What is up?!?!

Day 169: June 18, 2011

I stayed up too late last night, so I slept in this morning.  Then I had a staff meeting, since Juliana will be out of town on Monday when we normally have it.  Then I hit the grocery store and came home.  I got all my laundry done!  Woot!  Then I went to opening night of Big River.  Great show!!

Day 168: June 17, 2011

Worked all day and then stayed at the theater for dinner and the final dress rehearsal of Big River.  What a great show!  I watched it through the camera, though, since I was taking pictures for Shauna.

Day 167: June 16, 2011

Worked at the theater today.  Another slow day on the phones.  I hope it picks up once the show opens.  I watched 4 episodes of LOST today!

Tonight I went over to Greeley for Loveland Opera Theatre's Finding Truth in Singing Recital.  It's our weeklong workshop, and today was the final recital.  Everyone sang really great!!

Work...and then more work.

Day 165: June 14, 2011

The theme for the day was:  Stress.  Okay, that's not totally true.  The theme for the late afternoon/early evening was Stress.  Work was actually kinda boring.  It was slow, which is typical for tech week.  Many people wait until the show opens before they get their reservations.  I spent the morning working the time-lapse video of changeover.  22 hours of video that needs to sped up to be 6 or 7 minutes.  Easier said than done.  I don't think I have the right software.  Crap.

The stress came when I found out that the rehearsal schedule had changed for this evening.  I had thought that I would have until 8:00, but it turned out that I only had until 6:30 before I had to be at rehearsal.  I had several things to do for LOT.  I got as much done as I could, but I still have to go in tomorrow, when I once again have rehearsal starting at 6:30.   Oi.

Day 164: June 13, 2011

I have to hurry and get this written before the internet goes down again. It's been a problem since the big rainstorm last week.  It comes in and out.  Probably a loose wire.  The guy from Skybeam is supposed to come fix it tomorrow.  I CAN'T WAIT!!!!

I worked for LOT today...my only full day all week, so I had to get as much done as possible!  And I did!  Go me!

Day 163: June 12, 2011

My choir sang in church today for Ward Conference.  It turned out really well!

I set up a video camera at the theater this afternoon.  We are going to do a time lapse video of changeover from The King and I to Big River.  The video will record for 20 hours!!!  Then we'll speed up the playback so the video lasts about 5 minutes. 

The Tonys were on tonight.  I didn't want to watch it because of a show currently on Broadway, nominated for a lot, that mocks things that are sacred and holy to me.  It hurts my heart.  But it's the Tonys...and there were other things I wanted to see, so I watched.  But I was very quick with the mute button.  And I started watching late, so I was able to fast forward through their musical number.  And it won Best Musical.  *sigh*  Whatever.  I don't care.

Day 162: June 11, 2011

Got up really early and went to the temple!  That's a great way to start a day.  Well, except for when I took a chunk out of my finger with a fingernail and was bleeding.  I only got a tiny bit of blood on my temple dress, though...THANK GOODNESS!!!!

Went to the chiropractor this morning.  He always makes everything all better!!

Worked all day.  Finished watching LOST Season 5.  Man, I love that show.  I miss it.

Just another day at work.  Not too exciting.

Highlight of the day was a long overdue massage.  Ahhh...feel so much better now!

Fun activity of the day:  Playing Hungry Hungry Hippos with Brayden underneath a blanket so we wouldn't be too noisy and wake up Kinley!

Day 159: June 8, 2011

Sleeping in is always a good thing.  I slept until almost 9.  Ahhhhhhhh..........

Worked for LOT all afternoon, played with the kiddos at my parents' house for awhile, had a voice lesson, went to rehearsal.  Came home and watched LOST.  :)

Day 157: June 6, 2011

You can tell it's going to be a long week when halfway through Monday, you think it's Wednesday already.  Oy.

Worked all afternoon.  Didn't get as much done as I wanted to, but I've got Wednesday to finish up.

First rehearsal for "The Sound of Music".  Got my first scene blocked.  Going to be a fun show!  The kids are cute!

Got done with rehearsal early, so Shauna and I went to see "X-Men: First Class".  It's really good!  I enjoyed it a lot!  James McAvoy is one of my favorite actors!

Day 156: June 5, 2011

Church this morning.  Had a good turnout for choir!  Yay!!!  Good thing, too, since we're singing next week.

Went to Mom & Dad's for dinner.  Everybody was there.  Had fun playing with the kids.  We had a fire and I came really close to roasting the perfect marshmallow.  The coals were PERFECT!!!

Day 155: June 4, 2011

Today we had a garage sale that was a fundraiser for the Ronald McDonald House.  My cousin's little boy Ethan spent some time there while in Cincinatti for some medical treatment.  He absolutely loved it there!  It's a really great place, so we had this fundraiser for them.  We didn't price anything in the sale, just asked people to donate whatever they wanted.  We ended up with almost $1000!  We had so many people that donated, and so many people that came and bought stuff.  It was a great day!

I went up to Wellington tonight and babysat the kids.  What crazy kids they are.  Crazy, crazy children.  Wherever did they get that from?  ;)

Day 154: June 3, 2011

Just another uneventful day at work.  Yippee.

After work, I hung around the theater for awhile, then Shauna and I went to get dinner at Noodles & Co.   Then we came back to the theater and people-watched from the balcony for awhile.  That's always really fun to do!  Then I drove down to Denver for the Colorado Mormon Chorale concert.  Dad sings with them.  They were doing all Broadway music.  It was a really great concert!

Day 153: June 2, 2011

Felt fine when I woke up this morning, but while driving to work, I passed a guy mowing the weeds/grass along Boyd Lake Ave.  That set my allergies off...so I've been kinda miserable all day!  UGH!!!

First rehearsal for the Gala tonight.  Crazy hard music, but we did alright!  Puccini wrote some gorgeous stuff!!!

Day 152: June 1, 2011

Felt better today, but I sound pretty congested.  Ugh...why do I have to be sick all the time?!

Amazing how much work I can get done when I work for 6 hours instead of 2.  Shocking.

I discovered today that if I watch too many episodes of "MI-5" in a row, combined with watching "LOST" and reading "The Hunger Games" series...I get a little depressed.  And the perfect therapy for this?  Jane Austen!!  I watched "Pride and Prejudice" tonight.  Oh, how I love that movie.  It's not my favorite Austen...that would be "Persuasion", but P&P really hits the spot!
