Day 365: December 31, 2011

What a day!  I tried to get my laundry done before I went to work, but that didn't happen.  So I have a pile of unfolded laundry to greet me in the new year.  Huzzah.

Went to work and got a call as I was pulling into the parking lot that I need to play in Primary tomorrow!  I am subbing for the other pianist, and I hadn't been planning on playing until next week!  Had to find the music and FAST!

Got a call that my chiropractor passed away.  Total shock!!!!!!  Sad day...  :(

The final performance of "Scrooge" was fantastic!  I have had a marvelous time doing this show!  I wish it could have lasted longer!  I really hope to be able to perform on the Candlelight stage again soon!!!!!

Dance party in the lobby of the theater at midnight, with just the few of us who were left.  So funny!!
I can't believe I have met the goal of doing a blog for every single day of the year 2011.  I will not be continuing this in 2012.  My regular blog will continue, but this blog is done!  Go me!!  I don't know if anyone read any of these posts, but it has been kind of therapeutic to write them.

Worked all day.  Makes for a long day when the phones aren't busy.  Kinda wish we had a show tonight.  We've had enough people call looking for tickets for this weekend.

Went to Meg Duffy's wedding reception tonight.  Very nice!

Day 361: December 27, 2011

Work work work!  The phones were pretty quiet today.  But I'm so tired of people calling in with those old vouchers that are expiring at the end of the year.  They are a pain.  And I'm REALLY sick of dealing with the balcony seating chart.  Dinner seating in the balcony has been the bane of my existence over the past couple of weeks.  Trying to organize it, figure out where everyone is sitting, and keeping parties together?  Ugh...  I'll be glad when it's not an issue anymore.

Went to see "War Horse" with Shauna tonight.  What an AMAZING MOVIE!!!!  I really want to see the stage version.

Day 360: December 26, 2011

Today has been a really fun day!  I had the day off, as did Shauna and Craig, so we took the kids sledding at the amphitheater.  It was so much fun!  The sun was out and so it really wasn't too cold at all.  I actually got a little hot!  I didn't think the kids would last for very long, but they loved it!  I think George loved it the most.  I really think that he will be a snowboarder someday, taking after his Uncle Neal.  Craig took Ben down the hill once, but he didn't like it very much.  Maybe next year...

We went back to Mom & Dad's and I pretty much spent the rest of the day there.  Craig and Robin left to go do some shopping, so I watched a movie with the kids.

I'm super tired now, which is always the sign of a good day.  Okay...usually the sign of a good day!

Day 359: December 25, 2011

Merry Christmas!!!!

The day started early, as church started at 9:30 am.  We had choir before that.  But seriously, the best way to spend Christmas morning is to go to 2 Sacrament Meetings that both have incredible music programs!!  In Bison Ridge, the choir sang "Still, Still, Still" and "Silent Night".  I had a solo on the 5th (yes, 5th) verse.  I then hurried across town so that I could get to the Lakeside Ward.  I sang "Gesu Bambino" in that ward.  That went well.  I wasn't happy with my high G, but I think I'm the only one that knew it was a little wonky.

We did presents at Mom & Dad with everybody.  And ate a bunch of food.

Then we had dinner at Donna & Randy's.  The stuffed mushrooms were A-MAZ-ING!!!!

Great day today!  I do love Christmas!

Day 358: December 24, 2011

Ahhhhhh.....my first day off in a very long time!  I still had to get up kind of early, as there was much to do.  But I didn't have to go to either job and I didn't have a show!

I practiced with Mom & Jaclyn at the church.  Then I went over to Mom & Dad's.  I helped Mom with the turkey then pretty much chilled for the afternoon.

Oh, but the funniest thing happened!  I needed some windshield washer fluid in my car, but I kept forgetting to go get some.  Dad said that I could use some that he had just bought.  I started pouring and apparently I had been completely out....because I used it all!  I felt bad so I immediately went out to K-Mart and bought some more.  I hadn't wanted to go shopping on Christmas Eve (since every store is an absolute ZOO) but it all worked out.  I got the steering wheel cover that I needed and some cute holiday marshmallows.

Christmas Eve was at Donna & Randy's house.  We did fondue, which was really fun.  We had a TON of food and I was sitting right by one of the fondue pots with cheese.  I think I ate WAY too much of that cheese.  Oy....  The chocolate fountain was fun, too, but no one would let me stick my face in it.  Guess I won't be checking that off my bucket list for awhile.

We played Minute to Win It and it was so much fun!  I had to put a cookie on my forehead and use my facial muscles to get it into my mouth.  I didn't get it, but I got pretty close.  Shocking that I have strong facial muscles, right?  No.

All in all, a great Christmas Eve!!

Day 357: December 23, 2011

Another long day at the theater!  It wasn't as busy on the phones as I was expecting, which is SUPER nice.  A refreshing change after having the phone practically glued to my ear!!

The show went well.  I can't believe there are only 3 shows left!  I'm going to be so sad when this show is over!!!!!!!

Day 356: December 22, 2011

Crazy snow!!!  We got about a foot.  But it was the dry snow, so it's not too heavy to move.  The roads are pretty bad, though.  I hate icy roads!!!!!

I got my final Secret Santa present done this morning and then went to work.  I got done early, so I was able to actually sit and enjoy part of the afternoon before heading off to the theater.

Day 355: December 21, 2011

Another long day, but at least I got to PERFORM this time instead of watching someone else perform.  The show went well.  I can't believe it's almost over!!!!!

Snow was pretty bad tonight.  Took a long time to get home!

Day 354: December 20, 2011

Pretty much the longest day EVER.  Worked box office all day and Debby Boone at night.  12 1/2 hour day.  Oy.

Day 353: December 19, 2011

I got up and went to work early today so that I could get off early.  Tonight was the 1st of 2 Debby Boone concerts at the Candlelight.  I had to work will call, so I had to be dressed extra nicely and be there by 5.  It was a long evening, and I was on my feet WAY too much.   But everything went well.  And my paycheck is going to be GINORMOUS!!!!

Day 352: December 18, 2011

I hit snooze a few too many times this morning and didn't make it up in time to be ready to get to church on time for choir.  But I made it on time for church!!

I need a new wig cap and I left church early so that I could swing by Sally's Beauty Supply on the way to the theater.  Guess what!  Sally's doesn't open until NOON on Sundays!  I was 40 minutes early.  I couldn't wait around, so I went to Target and they don't have wig caps.  Ugh.  I walked all the way in there in 3 inch heels.  Ugh.  That's what I get for skipping out on church to go to the store on Sunday.

The show went well.  I can't believe that there are only 6 shows left!!  I'm not ready for Scrooge to be over, but I'm ready for it to be done.  Does that make sense?  If it doesn't, then you have never been in a show that lasts more than a 2 or 3 weekends.

Came home to crash for the evening (after getting pulled over on 57th St. for speeding.  I only got a warning, though!  Bless that nice cop!)

Day 351: December 17, 2011

The 4th and FINAL Double Show Day!!!  Huzzah!!!!  Tiring as always!  Ugh, that makes for such a long day.  And by the time the 2nd show is almost done I'm always about ready to hit a wall.  But I make it through!!!

Day 350: December 16, 2011

Another long day at the theater.  I was there from 10 am to 10:30 pm.  The show went pretty well tonight.  Hard to believe there are only 9 shows left!

I found out today officially that I was not cast in "Oklahoma".  Kind of a bummer.  I wasn't expecting to get cast, but I did really want to get it so that I could not have to look for a new job.  But since I was not cast, now I have to start looking.  :(

Day 349: December 15, 2011

I tried really hard to get my laundry done this morning, but I didn't quite make it.  I got everything washed, but had to leave with the last load in the dryer.  Luckily, I had a little bit of time between work and going to the theater, so I got it all out of there.  But I didn't get it put away until after I got home from the show.  So late!!

I went to Sonic for dinner and I got a Super Sonic Bacon Cheeseburger.  That's a double cheeseburger.  Seriously, like 1/2 a pound of beef.  I was starving, but it wasn't until I had eaten that whole thing that I thought "Yeah, that was too much cheeseburger."  But it got me through the show and I wasn't hungry until morning!

Day 348: December 14, 2011

Worked all day, first show of a six show weekend in the evening.  Makes for a long day!

On a related note, my left foot is really hurting.  Especially right on the ball of my foot.  This makes dancing especially painful.  I need to get some insoles or something to get me through the next 3 weekends!

Day 347: December 13, 2011

Worked all day...I felt like the phone was glued to my ear or something.  CRAZY DAY!!!

Went shopping at Kohls.  What happened to their clothes selection?  I used to be able to get all kinds of cute things there.  Not recently.  Boo.

Went shopping at Wal-Mart.  Ugh...so much money.

Went home and vegged for the evening.  Last evening to veg until Christmas.  Ugh.

Day 346: December 12, 2011

I slept in until 10:30 am.  Oh, how wonderful that was!!! Thank you, Tylenol PM!!

No rest for the weary, however.  Had to work this afternoon.

I've been chilling all evening, though.  Got caught up on a few TV shows.

Day 345: December 11, 2011

Another very long day, even longer than yesterday.  I actually set my alarm (which I never do anymore) so that I could get to church on time for choir.  So early!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  But I got there on time...ish.

I got 2 callings at church today.  Sacrament Meeting organist and Primary pianist.  Both are shared callings, which will be nice.  I love music callings!  I'm excited!!

Another double show day.  I was EXHAUSTED by the time the 2nd show was over.  Doubles are hard enough, but 2 doubles in a row is CRAZY!!!!

Day 344: December 10, 2011

A very long day.  I got to the theater at 11 am and was there until...11 pm (or thereabouts.)  We had a double and both went well.  But it just makes for a crazy long day!!!

Day 343: December 9, 2011

Work was a little bit crazy today.  We did all of the seating charts for the entire weekend, just to get a jump on things.  It's going to be insane at the theater over the next 2 days.  4 shows in 2 days!!!

The show went pretty well.  I'm going to miss this show when it's over.  I'm having a lot of fun!

Day 342: December 8, 2011

Another long day!  I left early for work and stopped by the insurance company so I could get my car insurance switched over.  That only took about 5 minutes.  It's only going to cost be about $15 more a month.  (And it had just dropped a few dollars last month!!!!  Of course.)

Off to work for a very long day.  People just can't seem to understand that they HAVE to make their reservations super early for shows around this time of year.  We are sold out for so many shows!!!  CRAZY!!!

The show went well tonight.  I'm getting better at some of the dancing, but still struggling a bit with some others.   But as long as I don't fall down, I consider it to be a personal victory.

Day 341: December 7, 2011

I bought the car today.  I am now the proud and poor owner of a 2005 Saturn Ion.  So weird.  I thought I'd have Fred forever!!

After dealing with all the car stuff, I went to work.  Then I had a show tonight.  A Wednesday show?!  CRAZY!!!

Day 340: December 6, 2011

I had the day off work, but I was still awake at 8 am.  What the heck?!

I got a little bit of work done this morning, though, since Juliana's internet was down yesterday.  I did this morning what I was going to do last night and didn't get around to doing.

This afternoon, Dad and I went car shopping.  I wrote an entire blog about it, which will be posted when the story ends (hopefully) tomorrow morning.  So I won't go into detail here.

Got home earlier than I normally would on a Tuesday and enjoyed a lazy evening.  I watched the newest Celtic Woman concert on PBS...which was A-MAZ-ING!!!

Now if I could just stop coughing...

Day 339: December 5, 2011

Ah, waking up refreshed....it doesn't happen much anymore.  Too bad I have to take Tylenol PM in order for it to happen.  And I never take that 2 days in a row!

Still coughing...so I went to the doctor today.  The good news is that Dr. Culver said that the tongue sores are not an allergic reaction.  That means I can keep eating peanuts and I can go back on the antibiotic that will hopefully eliminate this sinus infection that apparently never went away.  However, the bad news is that the tongue thing is definitely a virus that will probably be a problem for awhile.  UGH!!!!!!!!!!  But he prescribed me an antiviral that will help prevent them from coming back.  We'll see.

I also went to the chiropractor today.  He adjusted my neck with me laying on my back instead of sitting in the chair.  It moves so much better that way, so I'm hoping I can get through the rest of Scrooge without any pain!

Worked all afternoon, but the internet was down, so I couldn't get as much done as I needed to.  Funny how much I depend on the internet!  I didn't even HAVE the internet until I was in college!

I  have to give Craig's car back on Wednesday, so I have to buy a car and QUICK!!!  AHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Day 338: December 4, 2011

This day felt just as busy as yesterday!!  And I only had ONE show!

I missed church today because I slept in a little bit and then didn't feel good.  This darn cough is a real pain.  It won't get worse, but it won't go away!  WHAT THE HECK?!

Will Call was a little crazy today.  So many people showed up early.  It was nuts in the lobby for a little while.

The show went well.  I was so tired, but I can really muster up the energy to get through the scenes, especially the dance numbers.

After the show was call backs for Oklahoma!  My dancing was...schmeh.  That's about the gist of it.  My singing was okay.  I was losing my voice after the show, but I still managed to the hit the F.

The day wasn't over once I was done at call backs.  No sirree!  I sang "Gesu Bambino" at Juliana's studio recital.  I was last on the program.  I felt a little off at the beginning, but I settled in and nailed the high G at the end!  Sounded great!  I'm excited to sing this in the Lakeside Ward on Christmas Day!

The day is now over.  I just took some Tylenol PM and I'm going to sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep for as long as I can.  My feet hurt.  My joints all hurt. I'm just plain EXHAUSTED!!!!!!!!!!

Day 337: December 3, 2011

Our first double show day!  Thankfully, I was feeling a lot better today...despite a lingering, non-productive, tickly cough.

I got to the theater early for Will Call, and there was nothing really to do.  So I stood around a lot, and washed a few windows.  But once people started showing up (way too early, of course), it was just go go go for the rest of the day!

Once the show got over with, I helped Jon with a few things for the evening Will Call and then did the seating chart for tomorrow.  I didn't get to eat dinner until after 6.  So much for a break in between shows, but oh, well.  Things have to get done!

Both shows went well.  Always little interesting things that happen, just to keep us on our toes.  But doubles are so hard!  Energy is a huge problem, but we pushed through and made it!  Hooray!

Day 336: December 2, 2011

Had to work all day, then do the show.  I'm feeling a little better, but whatever this is (cold, sinus infection, bronchitis) just won't quit.  The show went well tonight, though!  Despite all the crap being thrown at me in real life, my stage life is peachy!  I'm loving that!

I had to give Mom & Dad's car back, but I now have Craig's car for a week.  But in order to get it, I was going to have to drive to Mom & Dad's house in a snow storm....in the truck.  YIKES!!!  I was scared to death!  But I finally asked Shauna to drive the truck and I drove her car.  Much better!  I'm scared to drive that truck in the middle of the summer...forget a snow storm!!!  Gah!!

Woke up this morning feeling AWFUL!  I ended up staying home all day until I had to leave for the theater.  The show went pretty well.  I just wish I felt better.  Ugh!

Yeah....I apparently have to get a lot of crap thrown at me to balance out the good stuff in my life.  Not only did I come down with a nasty cold, but I found out today that it would be at least $1300 to fix my car.  SOOOOOO not worth it.  I now have to buy a new car.  Which I can't afford.  This just plain SUCKS!!!

Dragged a lot this morning.  I'm coming down with something.  Grrrrrrrr....

Worked all afternoon, then went out to the theater for my Oklahoma audition.  It went pretty well.  It's hard to sing when coming down with a cold, but I did alright.

Then the fun began...I drove to Mom & Dad's and my car almost overheated.  Ugh.  I was there for a little while and then went home and it almost overheated again.  So, I took it over to the mechanic, and who knows when I'll get it back.  Curses.

Day 331: November 27, 2011

Got up waaaaay too early.  Didn't make it on time for choir, but made it on time for church.  I had to give a talk.  I was given the subject of "A Sermon on the Mount Topic."  Gah!  Kinda broad.  But I decided on Matthew 5:48:  Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.  I think the talk went pretty well.  Hard subject, but I think I got my point across...that trying is perfection.  And we won't reach eternal perfection in this lifetime!

The show went pretty well.  I'm having a great time!!

We went to Brian & Steph's for dinner and Sunday Night Pirates.  There were a bunch of accidents on the Interstate.  Took forever to get there!  But we had yummy food and a lot of fun playing Pirates Cove and Life Twists and Turns.

Day 330: November 26, 2011

Went to the temple this morning with Shauna, Neal, & Amanda.  Wonderful as always!

We went to Deseret Book and IKEA afterwards.  Didn't get home until after 4 and I had to leave for the theater before 5:30.  Long day, but good!  And the show was better than Friday!  I got my scene changes!  And I got the waltz right for the 1st time ever.  Huzzah!

Worked all day, and then had the show.  First show since Tech Week/Opening Weekend.  Yeeeeah....pretty interesting.  I forgot 2 of my scene changes.  Bad Angela!

Day 328: November 24, 2011

Today has been a great Thanksgiving!  I got up early to watch the Macy's Parade, only to find out that "Anything Goes" was performing on CBS and I missed it.  Then channel 9 went out on my TV, so I missed the Broadway shows they had.  But that was really the low point of the day.

Shauna, Melissa, & I went to see Breaking Dawn.  I ended up liking it better than I thought I would.  I have high expectations for Part 2!

Got my potatoes done just in time for dinner, and they turned out really good!  I have named them "Angela's Block Your Arteries Mashed Potatoes."  They had no milk in them, but they did have about a quart of sour cream!  Mmmmmmmmmmmmm.......

All of dinner was great!  I ate SO MUCH!!!!  But it was worth it, and I'll be burning it all off this weekend.  We've got another weekend of shows coming up, starting tomorrow!!!

Slept in until 9.  (I really do love doing that.  Maybe a little too much.)  Worked all afternoon.  Started my food for tomorrow.  10 pounds of potatoes!!!!!!  I'll mash them tomorrow.  Oh, and my chocolate pie is looking really good.  Kinda want to eat it now!

Day 326: November 22, 2011

This was my first day working a full day in the box office since rehearsals started!  Crazy!!!  The last time I worked a full day was October 28th!  CRAZY!!!!  (My paycheck has reflected this.  Ouch!!)

Practiced "Gesu Bambino" with Mom & Jaclyn tonight.  It's gonna be BEAUTIFUL!!!!  Can't wait to perform it!!

Day 325: November 21, 2011

I slept in until after 9 this morning.  (Thanks, again, Tylenol PM!!)

Worked all afternoon, and then home for an evening of TV.  Life is back to normal!  At least, for a Monday.

Day 324: November 20, 2011

What a day!  I set my alarm for 7 am, so that I could hit snooze a few times before I got up.  Then I was wide awake at 6:40.  Really?!  Ugh....

Got to choir on time, got to stay for all but the last 5 minutes of church, and then it was off to the theater!!

I'm sure I'll eventually get "Getting Ready for the Show" down to a science, but today was a little crazy.  I had to work Will Call, which is fine, but having to go upstairs at 1:30 is a little crazy.  Not everyone has arrived by then, and my focus switches from "Box Office" to "Show" and I forget stuff.  Ugh...  But I got ready in just enough time.  I'm sure it will get easier!!!  Gosh, I hope so!

The show went fine.  I'm getting better at the hard stuff, but it's still a challenge.  I guess it's a good thing it's a challenge.  Keeps me from getting complacent!

Went to Shauna's for dinner and to catch up on TV shows.  We watch 3 episodes of "The Amazing Race" and 2 episodes of "Bones." 

I am so tired, and so sore, but this week really has been great.  Exhausting, but great!

Day 323: November 19, 2011

OPENING NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was fabulous!!!!!  Okay, so the show wasn't perfect, but it was the best we've done so far, and the audience loved it!  I am so happy with this show!  I'm excited to spend the rest of this year onstage with these fabulous people!!

It was absolutely thrilling for me as the curtain was rising.  I almost cried!  This is a dream 6 1/2 years in the making!  I have wanted to perform on the CDP stage since I first saw the plans for the building back in July of 2005!

A great day (I got to veg at home all day!) and a FANTASTIC EVENING!!!!!!

Day 322: November 18, 2011

Final Dress Rehearsal!!!!  It went WAY better than I had ever dreamed!  I'm feeling pretty good about opening tomorrow.  (Tonight...it's after midnight!!!)  I'm still kinda sketchy on a few things, but those will work themselves out.  I'm doing better at the dances, but I have a long way to go!!  But I'm good enough to open.  Now to refine!

But before that, I had a lazy morning and then worked for a couple of hours.

Oh, and this morning I watched Regis Philbin's final Live with Regis and Kelly.  I have watched him since I was a teenager.  I am not ashamed to admit that I shed a few tears this morning!

Day 321: November 17, 2011

I slept in this morning, which was divine.  (Thank you, Tylenol PM!)  I didn't have to be to the theater until later, so I got some things done I've been putting off.  Like getting my car serviced and an emissions test done.  I also bought a box of 700 Bobby Pins.  Something I've been meaning to do for a very long time.  And I'll probably lose most of them!  Oh, well!  They were cheap!

Rehearsal went pretty well.  I'm really glad we have one more day until opening.  It's getting there.  My dances were better tonight, so that's a good sign!  I just need to be more CONFIDENT!!!!!!!!!

Day 320: November 16, 2011

Feet....hurt.  Brain....hurts.

Another long day at the theater!  Tech rehearsal all afternoon and then the 1st full run through.  We didn't quite make it to the end, but we got close!  It's only Wednesday.  We don't open until Saturday.  I'm not panicking yet!  (But I am a little worried about a couple of the dance numbers where I blank out on half my choreography!!!)

We teched Act 1 this afternoon and then had a sitzprobe tonight.  Loooooooong day at the theater!

Day 318: November 14, 2011

My last free day for a week.  We didn't have rehearsal today.  But tech week starts tomorrow!!  Gah!!!  I hope I'm ready!!!

I worked for LOT all afternoon.  I tried to get as much done as possible in case I can't come in again for the rest of the week.

Day 317: November 13, 2011

My last lazy day for quite awhile.  I went to church this morning, but then came home and pretty much vegged for the rest of the day.  I have to work all day tomorrow and then tech week begins for "Scrooge".  I won't have a day off until Thanksgiving.  Then I won't have a day off until Christmas Eve.  Oy to the vey!!  But I'm doing what I love and I'm getting paid for it, so I'll try not to complain.

I ate real food today!!  Yay!!!!

Rehearsal all afternoon.  Amazing how I can FORGET choreography so quickly.  Ugh!!!!  We open in a week.  I hope I'm ready!!

11-11-11!!!

It's been a long day.  I worked, then had a rehearsal that my brain didn't fully attend.  Ugh!!!  Then I worked for LOT and then went back to the theatre to help with Will Call for tonight's show.  After that, I went to Wal-Mart to buy Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2.

I ate some real food today, but not all.  I didn't get dinner, just snacks tonight.  But it's nice to be eating real food again....even though it still hurts.  :(

So over being sick.  I am HUNGRY!!!!!!  Work, rehearsal, and then home.  I feel like I've done nothing else for a week.  Oh, wait....I haven't.

I am so over this tongue thing.  Seriously.  It can go away NOW.  I miss eating.

Rehearsal and vegging...that was my day.

Day 312: November 8, 2011

I got up early and went to the doctor this morning.  There has to be a reason these ulcers keep coming back.  She took a culture of it, so hopefully we'll see.

I went to work, then rehearsal.  Stopped by the pharmacy on the way home to pick up some cream for my tongue. 

I still can't eat anything.  It hurts so bad to eat!!!  Ugh!!!!!!

Day 311: November 7, 2011

My tongue is still not better.  It hurts like crazy.  I am SO over this.

Day 310: November 6, 2011

I made it to all of church, and I even managed to sing in Relief Society as planned.  But my tongue still hurts.  :(

We had a vocal rehearsal tonight and it was hard to say the words.  Ugh.  I'm so over this sickness.

Day 309: November 5, 2011

I made it to rehearsal, but I thought I was going to die after we danced "December the 25th."  Not a good sign.  My tongue still hurts like crazy.  And I can't eat anything.  It hurts to eat!!!!

Day 308: November 4, 2011

No, THIS was the worst day after.  I woke up around 6, feeling really sick.  I went into the bathroom to try and throw up.  That didn't happen, but then I couldn't get off the floor.  When I finally made it back to bed, I slept until noon.  I completely forgot my doctor's appointment and my chiropractic appointment.  Ugh!!!!  I feel like I lost a whole day again.

I got out of rehearsal, and Shauna came and took me to Urgent Care.  The doctor thinks that the sores are Aphthous Ulcers and that they are caused by a virus.  She put me on an anti-viral like I had the first time.  She said there is a big sore on my throat.  She swabbed it, but it didn't show anything.  I'm also supposed to stop the antibiotic that I'm on for my sinus infection.  I'd been told I could possibly have an allergic reaction to it, even though I hadn't had it before.  That's what might be causing this, but it's odd because it's obviously a virus.

I HAVE to go to rehearsal tomorrow.  We are running Act 1!!!!!!!  GAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Dad and 3 missionaries came and gave me a blessing, though, so it'll be okay.

Day 307: November 3, 2011

This was the worst day ever.  Those stupid sores are back on my tongue.  I was late for work, so I only worked an hour.  Then I had rehearsal until after 5.  I didn't get to go to "The Lion King" at the Buell with the family, even though we've had the tickets FOREVER!!!  But I did meet them down at Cinzetti's for dinner.

Day 306: November 2, 2011

Woke up to a ton of snow!  Winter has definitely arrived.  I didn't have to be at rehearsal until noon, so I could be lazy this morning.  That was great, since I'm in so much pain.  Dancing is KICKING MY BUTT!!!!!

Rehearsal was in Loveland today, which was nice.  Shorter drive!  When we got done an hour early, I was able to go home for awhile before going to work.

I got a call from my bank.  My debit card number was stolen AGAIN, and used by a thief AGAIN.  Stupid freaking idiotic people with no morals who steal things.  Jerks.

I had a good voice lesson tonight.  I'm singing "Gesu Bambino" for Christmas this year.  Gorgeous song!

Day 305: November 1, 2011

First dance rehearsal day!  I am SO out of shape!!  I'm EXHAUSTED!!!!

It was a long day, too.  I went to work at 10 am and worked until 12, when rehearsal started.  When we had a break for 45 minutes, I worked some more, so that Jon could have a break.  Then more rehearsal!

When we got out of rehearsal, it was snowing like crazy!  But I went to Shauna's house and we watched Glee and Captain America.  I drove home in the crazy bad snow after 11.  So tired!!!

Day 304: October 31, 2011

Happy Halloween!  I didn't have a costume this year, which is kind of a bummer.  I've been busy...and sick.  And I didn't go to any parties or anything.  So it would have been a waste of money.  So I just said that I was dressed as a working actor with a sinus infection.

I went to the doctor for the sinus infection.  Then I went to work.  Then I went to pick up my prescription, and discovered that the pharmacy was out of it.  Really?!  They couldn't call and tell me?!  So I had to drive all the way across town to the other King Soopers.  Then I had to do my grocery shopping there and I couldn't find everything!!  It's set up totally different than the north King Soopers!  I just had to wander around until I found everything.  So annoying!!!

Day 303: October 30, 2011

Early church!  It's going to take some getting used to, that's for sure!  I haven't had 9 am church in years!  And choir before?  I can do this....

The nice thing about early church is having the whole afternoon free.  Well, at least for now...  Once Scrooge opens?  I'll be going going going from 8:15 am to 5 pm.  Oy.

Rehearsal tonight was fun!  We are going to have a BLAST with this show!

Slept in, pretty much vegged all morning.  Worked all afternoon.  Went to Walmart and Walgreens.  Came home and ate dinner.  Meeting with my new bishopric.  Spent the rest of the evening watching TV and playing Words with Friends and Angry Birds.

Day 299: October 26, 2011

What a crazy day!  I drove out to the theater in the snow.  The roads weren't as bad as I thought they were going to be, but it was still a little on the scary side.  We had phones, internet and power at first.  But the phones and internet went out around noon and then we lost power a little after 1.  Dave sent me home at 2 and Jon was supposed to call me when the power came back on.  It came back on at 3:30, but Jon didn't think it was too busy, so he didn't call me.  Rehearsal was cancelled, though, so I got the afternoon off!  I would have stayed in for the night, but I had a temple recommend interview at the Stake Center at 7:40.  So I ventured out into the cold.  The roads are mostly dry, so it wasn't bad.  Just c-c-c-COLD!!!!

We didn't have internet at the house all afternoon, which isn't that big of a deal, but it drove me a little nuts!  It was weird not having access to the internet!!  But it's back on tonight!  Just in time for me to go to bed!  Go figure.

Day 298: October 25, 2011

First Scrooge rehearsal tonight!  Yay!!  Highlight of my day!!

Yeah, I also worked all day before rehearsal.  And drove home in a crazy snow storm.

Day 297: October 24, 2011

Well, first I slept in until almost 9.  That's always amazing when I do that.  So refreshing!!!

I worked all afternoon and then went over to Mom and Dad's after dinner.  We had the last fire of the season.  Snow is coming!

Day 296: October 23, 2011

I got up early today and went to my new ward for the first time.  I knew more people than I thought I would.  But it's going to take me awhile to get used to being in a family ward.  Except for 7 months in the University 2nd Ward and 10 weeks of going to the Lakeside Ward one summer, I have been in singles wards for 15 years.  Yikes.

I also went up to Ft. Collins to the Wellington Ward because they were doing their Primary Program.  (So that was 2 Primary Programs today...)

The day started early.  I got my haircut and colored.  Then I went to work and was there until the show started.  Long day!

Day 294: October 21, 2011

Ahhhhhh....a day off!  A COMPLETE day off.  That's something I haven't had in awhile.  I've always had something going on, even if I didn't have to work.  But not today!!!  The only time I left the house was to go get my paycheck, go to pick up my new contacts, deposit my check in the bank, and then go to Hobby Lobby.  The rest of the day was spent at home.  I did my laundry, changed my sheets, cleaned my bathroom, finished my book, and watched a ton of TV.  It was grand!

Loooooooong day!!!  I was at the theatre from 10:00 am until almost 8:00 pm.  Not because of rehearsal (that starts next week!) but because of the Elvis concert.  I worked will call.  We were completely sold out, so we were SO BUSY!  People everywhere!!!  Gah!!!!

Today was the big YSA Conference.  I practiced like crazy to be ready to play the piano for the choir.  I made a few mistakes, but overall it was a good performance.  But wow...I haven't practiced the piano that much in years!!!

• Choir practice went well.  I'm hoping I can hold it together tomorrow at the meeting.
• Lunch at Red Robin for Rebekah's birthday!
• Back home for a little while.
• Went to Denver.  Got lost trying to find Jordan's house, so I ended up spending $12 to park at the Denver Center!!
• Went to the Colorado Mormon Chorale concert.  It was so good!
• Back home!  I'm so done with the Interstate for awhile.  Too much time in the car today!

Worked all day and then stayed at the theater to see "Annie Warbucks" with my friend Jeanette.  It's such a cute show!!!

Choir and church this morning, then dinner at Mom & Dad's for the October Birthday Girls.

Claire came over and we sang "Tutti i fior" for Grandma and Grandpa!

I found today that  my records were read into the Bison Ridge Ward.  I guess I'm going to switch now.  I have kept putting it off, because things keep coming up.  But now I'm official.

Day 281: October 8, 2011

Gala Day!!!  I slept in until 9:30 (which took some forcing, since I was wide awake at like 6:30.  For no apparent reason!)

I pretty much chilled all day.  I wasn't feeling 100% great and I needed my energy for tonight!

The LOT Gala, Everybody Loves Puccini, was a HUGE SUCCESS!!!  We almost completely sold out the house, which never happens!  There are also only a few silent auction items left!  Huzzah!!!

My duet went well.  We sounded good and only rewrote a few of the words.  ;)  Emily and Rebekah both did very well in the stage debuts.  It's a good thing all of their stuff was in the second half, because I don't think they would have made it through Act 2.

Ahhhh....now the Gala is over.  I can prepare to start focusing on Scrooge!

Worked all day and then raced to the Rialto for Gala dress rehearsal.  I've been in a panic about my song not being totally memorized.  Well, I've got the memorization part done, now I just have to get into the "comfortable" stage...where I don't have to think crazy hard to make sure I sing the right thing!  Good thing I have two more days!  I'll be singing it constantly.  Hope no one minds.

Day 278: October 5, 2011

I worked all afternoon, including running all over town.  (Thankfully, I can write off my mileage on my taxes when I'm doing LOT work!)

Went over to Mom & Dad's to practice the piano, but not before playing with the kiddos!

Day 277: October 4, 2011

Another day of working, working, working.  I work so much, yet I never have any money.  I guess that's what I get for working in theatre.

I got to see the wonderful and lovely Michelle Hudson Woodland today!  She and her husband were passing through on their way back to Idaho, and they came by the theater!  Shauna gave them a tour, but I had to stay on the phones, so I didn't get to see them for very long.

Slept in until 9 am this morning.  I love doing that!  Wish I could do it more often!!

Worked all afternoon and then had rehearsal tonight.  The Gala is on Saturday.

Conference!!!  I watched both sessions at Mom & Dad's house, with dinner at Grandma and Grandpa's in between.

I played with my phone all day!  So many things to learn.  I've never had an android phone before.  It's taking some getting used to.  I've had Blackberrys for so long now, I got accustomed to some of those features that I have been unable to find on my new phone.  Hmmm...

Watch The Amazing Race, Glee, and Pan Am at Shauna's house tonight with her and her 65 pound lap dog.  Silly Ashlin!

Day 274: October 1, 2011

An extremely long day!  Started with Gala rehearsal at 9:30 am.  Having to sing opera that early is cruel and unusual punishment.  But I warmed up in the shower and sang my song along with my iPod 3 times in the car, so I was ready. 

Lunch at Good Times with Craig and Emily and then off to work until 7:30!  Stopped at Wal-Mart on the way home and then came home and crashed!  My new phone had arrived, but it had to charge before I could do anything with it.  So I let it charge overnight.

Day 273: September 30, 2011

I worked.  A lot.  That about sums up my day.  I worked Will Call tonight, so that means I was on the clock from 10 am to 7:30 pm.  That makes for a long day, especially when the last 1 1/2 to 2 hours is spent entirely on my feet.

It was so nice to sleep in my own bed again!!!

Went to Fort Collins to return a book, then went to work.  I worked all afternoon and then had rehearsal tonight.

Day 271: September 28, 2011

We went to the temple again in the morning to take some pictures, then we headed for home.  We stopped at the Little Big Horn Battlefield Monument (aka Custer's Last Stand).  We didn't stay for very long, but it was very cool to visit there.  It's basically a big graveyard now.

We got back home at 5:30 pm, making the entire trip exactly 60 hours.  Oy!

Had dinner at Mom & Dad's, trying to extend the vacation as long as possible!

Day 270: September 27, 2011

We went back to Mount Rushmore and went on the Presidential Walk, which takes you down to the practically the base of the monument.  Super cool!

Then we hit the road again and went to Billings, Montana.  We did two sessions at the Billings Temple, which is BEAUTIFUL!!!

We spent the night in Billings.

Day 269: September 26, 2011

We left at O'Dark Thirty this morning (aka 5:30 am) on our trip!  We drove to South Dakota.  First stop was the Crazy Horse Memorial (which is GINORMOUS!!!) and then we went to Mount Rushmore.  The drive in between those two was the Needles Highway.   It was super cool!!

We spent the night in Keystone, SD.

Day 268: September 25, 2011

We sang "The Lord Bless You and Keep You" in the Twin Peaks Ward and the Wellington Ward today!  I sang Soprano the first time and Alto the second time.  Talk about being flexible!

Dinner at Craig & Robin's and then went to Shauna's to watch The Amazing Race.

Spent the night at Mom & Dad's so we can leave early tomorrow morning!

Day 267: September 24, 2011

I got a lot done today!  That's easy, when I get up early on a Saturday when I'd rather be sleeping in.  But I had a ton to do, soooooo...

I got all of my laundry done, got pack (mostly) for our trip next week, made my bean dip, picked up and deposited my pay check, went to Moroni Books, and went to Albertsons.

Tonight we went down to Denver for Lily's 1st birthday party!  A lot of fun!  It was crazy trying to keep the kids out of the pool, though.  Especially George!!!

I got my new glasses today.  I didn't realize when I picked them out just how much they are like a pair I've had before.  Oh, well!  They are cute!  I like them!  And I can see better.  Huzzah!!!

Tis Talk Like a Pirate Day!  Not blog like a Pirate Day, so I won't be writing in pirate speak.

I went to the eye doctor this morning.  I have to get new glasses and contacts because the astigmatism in my left eye has gotten way worse.  Wonderful.  I wanted new glasses, but they are expensive and I wasn't going to get them if my prescription was staying the same.  But it's not.  So I get new frames.  Just spending a lot more than I had hoped.  Oh, well.  Seeing is a good thing.

Worked all afternoon and then went to see "The Help" tonight.  I just finished the book on Friday.  The movie is fantastic!  It's weird to see the movie of a book right after you finish the book, though.  So many comparisons!  When it's been awhile since I have read the book, I can't remember as much.  Oh, well!

Today was International Talk Like a Pirate Day (Observed).  We partied today because it was more convenient.  We had some great food and recorded our Official Talk Like a Pirate Day song!!

Ah, the first Saturday in awhile where I didn't have to go anywhere.  It was nice!  I finally got my room cleaned! 

Went out in search of seaweed for my seaweed salad.  I think it's going to be good tomorrow!!!

Felt sick all day.  Ugh.  But it's not full on sick.  Just under the weather blah.  So I can't justify staying home.  Stupid sinuses....I know this is you.

We had Northern Colorado Seniors Got Talent at the theater today.  I didn't get to see all of the acts.  Hardly any, really.  But I did see a yodeler who was amazing!  They also had a dessert contest and I got to try some of them.  SO GOOD!!!

Well, today was interesting at work.  With a half hour left, the phones and internet went down.  We literally could not take any calls, but people were still stacking up in the call queue.  We felt really bad, but there was nothing we could do!

I'm still feeling sick.  I hope I can get over whatever this is without too much fuss.  I'm too busy to be sick!!

The 10th Anniversary of the worst terrorist attacks EVER on American soil.  I will NEVER FORGET that day!!!

I listened to some of my Candlelight co-workers be interviewed on the radio on my way to church.  I was late for choir, because I was sitting in my car listening to the interview.  I missed the last segment, but I didn't miss Brian talking about Shauna and her air brakes on the Big River raft.

I've been laying low all afternoon, since I got home from church.  I don't feel great.  I feel like I'm coming down with something.  Boo.

Day 253: September 10, 2011

Great day!!!  But EXHAUSTING!!

We left early and went down to Ikea.  I love that store!  It's an EXPERIENCE, not just a shopping trip.  Mom and Dad had never been there.  I am excited to go back and get some food there sometime. 

Then we went to the Rockies game!  Dad was singing the national anthem with the Colorado Mormon Chorale, so we all went to the game!  It was SO FREAKING HOT!  We were in the sun the whole time.  They said it was 73, but that was in the shade apparently.  It felt like 100 degrees in the sun.  I'm surprised we didn't melt!  The game was great, though.  Rockies won 12-7.  Aaaaaaand...we got on the jumbo tron!  We didn't think that they got people on the 3rd deck where we were, but then we saw a guy that was a few sections over from us.  We we started dancing around.  The main thing they got was George jumping/dancing around on Craig's lap.  George ALSO got a foul ball!  No, he didn't catch it.  When they were walking out, he was up on Craig's shoulders and he was singing the Dinosaur Train song at the top of his lungs.  A guy walking near them laughed and handed him the ball.  So basically, George had the baseball game of his life, and he's only 2.  He won't remember!

Got home and was exhausted.  Discovered my slight, wacky sunburn.  Not too bad, though.  Huzzah for 50 spf sunscreen!

Day 252: September 9, 2011

Chiropractor early this morning, then grocery store.  Then home to put the groceries away.  Then to the theater to pick up my check (since Shauna forgot to get it).  Then.....

LONGS PEAK SCOTTISH IRISH HIGHLAND FESTIVAL!!!!!

Otherwise known as "Highlands".  Shauna and I went up there.  Had a great time wandering around looking at all the stuff.  The best stuff of which we could not afford.  I had Steak on a Stick and a Deep Fried Mars Bar.  (My stomach is still recovering from the latter.)

We watched the heavy armor jousting.  That was SO COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  They were even getting on the horses and armoring up right in front of us!  (We were sitting on the front row.)

I slept in until 9:30 am this morning!  Wonderful!!! This can mean one of two things:  I really needed the extra sleep.  Or I'm coming down with something.  Or....both.  I really hope it's the first thing!!!  I don't have time to get sick!!

Worked for LOT all afternoon and rehearsed for the Gala tonight.

Day 250: September 7, 2011

Work was almost as busy today as it was yesterday!  Thanks, Living Social.  You are your half-price tickets to our show.  Everyone calls right away to make their reservations.

I went to Greeley tonight to the UCDT.  They are opening The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee on Friday.  They needed people to come to their dress rehearsals to be the guest spellers.  Shauna was supposed to go with me, but she got sick.  So Neal went instead!  We had a lot of fun. That is such a funny show! 

Day 249: September 6, 2011

What a crazy, busy day at work today!  The phone was ringing off the hook all morning!  Usually it quiets down around noon on Tuesdays, but it kept on going!  It wasn't until 3:30 or 4 that we could actually take the time to do some other stuff.  CRAZY!!!!

Day 248: September 5, 2011

Another early morning, thanks to kids who can't sleep when it's not dark out.  And the sun comes up awfully early! 

We hiked up to Homestead Meadows.  I had forgotten how difficult portions of that hike are.  And we took the kids.  It was even harder for them!  My feet are still killing me!  I am going to be SO stiff and sore tomorrow!!

We got away around 4 pm.  I'm going to miss being in the mountains.  I do love it there.  But I don't love not showering for 4 days.  Felt good to get cleaned up when I got home!!!  And now....back to reality.  (Reality being 33 e-mails waiting for me.  Ugh....)

Day 247: September 4, 2011

Craig & Robin & Leanna and all the kids left by 9:00 am to go to church.  It was just Mom, Dad, & me at the cabin for most of the day.  So relaxing!  I spent much of the day sitting on the porch reading and listening to my iPod.  That was after I went back to bed for a 3 hour nap.  (I needed more sleep.  All of those kids cried at one point or the other the past 2 nights.  And my ear plugs do not block out kids screaming/crying.)

The gang came back around 6, plus Jake.  Shauna, Neal, & Amanda turned up not too long after that!  We were breaking all kinds of rules.  We had more people in the cabin than you're supposed to and we had more cars parked that than you're supposed to, but nobody said boo.  Score!

Day 246: September 3, 2011

I had shared one of the top bunks in the cabin with George.  He woke up at about 6:00 and tried to get me to wake up by sitting on my face.  I did NOT want to get up that early, but oh, well!

We hiked around Lily Lake.  Such a beautiful lake!  And lots of ducks.  I was walking with Emily and I was startled by a snake in the grass.  I screamed (because it startled me) which made Emily scream.  Robin was walking behind us.  She said it was pretty funny.

We pretty much chilled for the rest of the day.  Well, as much as you can chill when you're chasing that many kids around.

Day 245: September 2, 2011

Went to work much earlier than usual.  We had a TON to do to get ready for the Gala.  I worked straight through until 3 and then headed over to my parents' house.  Time to go CAMPING!!!!

We made it up to Hermit Park around dinner time and got everything situated as quickly as we could so we wouldn't have to do it in the dark.  While we were cooking dinner, the ranger came by to tell us that there was a bear in the area.  No big deal, right?  If we saw him, we'd just drop everything and run inside.  Well, Emily FREAKED out and was just certain that the bear was going to eat her.  We finally got her calmed down enough to come out of the cabin.  Poor kid!

Day 244: September 1, 2011

Long day.  Ugh.  I feel like all I did was work!!!  When I got off from work at the theater, I went immediately to the post office and then to Juliana's.  I was there for an hour before going to grab dinner on my way to rehearsal.  After rehearsal, I had to go grocery shopping for our camping trip.  I'm still not totally ready to go and I have to go to work early tomorrow.  This is going to be interesting.  I feel like I'm running myself ragged this week.  It will just make me appreciate my vacation more.  Right?

I can't believe that today is the last day of August!  Where has the year gone?!?!

Worked all day.  It was pretty quiet, which makes for a boring day.

Worked for LOT briefly and then headed over to pick up a suitcase for the weekend.  I don't have anything bigger than a backpack, it's kind of hard to pack for a 3 day camping trip.  So I take a suitcase.  Sue me.  I got to see Rebekah's cast.  It's blue, because that's the only color they had.  She really wanted purple.  I got to sign it and she made me draw a person by my name.  So I drew a stick figure with pigtails and wearing a skirt.

Worked today!  Surprise!!

I read an entire book today.  Haven't done that in awhile.  "The Kiss of a Stranger" by Sarah M. Eden.  Couldn't put it down!  Great book!

The Mount Rushmore/Billings, MT trip the 2nd week of September is off, for Shauna and me at least.  We are now planning something the week of the 25th.  Hopefully, Rushmore/Montana, but we don't know how the weather is then.

Day 239: August 27, 2011

This morning I got up early (which I hate doing on Saturday, especially when I was up late the night before!)  I was out the door by 8:30, earlier than I ever leave anymore!  But it was all for a good cause.  I went to Wellington to pick up George and Rebekah.  I was going to take both of them to the Corn Roast today.  Well, Becky fell down the stairs (she was dancing on the stairs!!!) and possibly broke her arm.  So she had to be taken to the doctor.  So, I took George! 

We picked up Mom and headed for the Old Fairgrounds Park.  It was SO HOT THERE!!!!!  But we found some shade and listened to the Loveland High Marching Band play.  Then we heard the girls from Annie Warbucks do a couple of numbers.  Very cute!  Then we braved the crowds in search of food.  We couldn't get George to eat or drink anything, and it was SOOOOOOOO HOT!!!!  So we packed up and headed back to Wellington.

Becky possibly has a hairline fracture on her right arm.  They won't know for sure until Monday when the Radiologist can look at the X-Ray.  But she's got a splint for now.  And the stairs have been declared a "No Dancing Zone".

I'm exhausted tonight!  Being out in the heat really saps your energy!   I've pretty much been laying around every since I got home!  But it was a good, fun day!

Day 238: August 26, 2011

Long day!  I worked by myself in the box office all day.  It wasn't busy, so that wasn't a big deal.  Then I stuck around to eat dinner at the theater and see the final dress rehearsal for Annie Warbucks.  I also took pictures for Shauna.  The food was awesome!  The show is super cute!  I don't know about the pictures.  I hope they turned out alright!

Day 237: August 25, 2011

I tell people I'm clumsy.  Usually, I'm not really, but I say I am anyway.  Well, today was one of those days when I actually was clumsy.  I was doing my hair in my bathroom, and the bottom drawer (where I keep my blow dryer, curling iron, etc.) was open.  I turned to walk out the door and crashed right into the open drawer with my left shin.  YEEEEE-OUCH!!!!!!  It didn't bleed at first, just a little scratch (and one mother of a bruise), but a little while later it started to bleed a little.  So now I'm sporting a bandage on my leg.  Lovely.  And it still hurts if I bump it.  Ugh.

Worked this afternoon and then spent the evening watching TV and reading.  I lead such a glamorous life.  Not.

Another quiet day at the box office.  The phones were slow and there were 2 of us there.  But we played a rousing game of Words with Friends.

Well, today was definitely better than yesterday.  That's for sure.

I worked today.  I was by myself on the phones all afternoon, but it was pretty quiet so it wasn't too bad.

My evening plans fell through (thanks to naughty little children who didn't earn the privilege of going to the farm to pick corn), so I've been home all evening.  I watch the rest of Into the Woods.  Man, I love that musical!!!

Day 234: August 22, 2011

The day started out fine.  I slept in until 9 am!   But once I left the house, everything went down hill.

I got a flat tire on my way from the post office to work.  I had specifically left early so that I could get some stuff done before the staff meeting.  HA!!!  So much for that.  I was trapped on 7th Street, halfway between Lincoln & Madison.

Luckily, my dad came to save me.  He changed my tire.  (Yes, I have been shown how to change a tire, but that was years ago.)  My spare was almost flat, but it was good enough to get me to Discount Tire.  They checked out all of my tires and showed me just how bad they all were.  (2 had been purchased in 2005 and the other 2 in 2007...and they had never been rotated.)  So, $400 and an hour later, I had 4 new tires.  An expense I SOOOOOO didn't need right now.  GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!

Life was not good today.  Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

I sang "I Heard Him Come" in church today.  That is such a great song!  I love to sing it.  The words are awesome, the tune is awesome.  It's a good one all around!

We had potluck at church today.  The theme was "Weird or Interesting Foods".  I brought Mexi-Mac.  It was weird making it at 9 am, and I was afraid it wouldn't be as good reheated.  But it turned out okay!

I spent the afternoon finishing my book and catching up on my scrapbooking!  Productive day!

Day 232: August 20, 2011

I wish I could have slept in this morning, but alas....  Also, I'm tired of waking up at 2 am to take Tums.  Stupid acid reflux.  I hate you.

I was almost late to work today because of a traffic jam on 1-25.  I wasn't on the interstate, but I was on the frontage road (as I always am...that's how I get to work!) and cars were backed up on there, too.  I swear, people get dumber in traffic jams.

Work was pretty uneventful.  Just another day of answering the phones and telling people "I'm sorry, we're sold out tonight.  You should have bought your tickets weeks ago!"  Oh, well...  Big River closes tomorrow and then it's Annie Warbucks time!

Came home and spent the evening cross stitching and scrapbooking.  I always watched Pride and Prejudice.  One of my favorite movies!!!

I was mainly by myself in the box office again today, with back-up this time (Thanks, Bobbi!).  And of course, the phones were quieter.  So it's wasn't as stressful.  THANK GOODNESS!!!

I got my contract for Scrooge.  I feel so official now!  Yay!!!  I'm trying to write my bio for the program, but it's so difficult to fit a 20 year theatre career into 50-75 words!  What I've got so far covers pretty much every company I've worked with.  I feel that honors them, as it should.  We'll see what I end up with.

What a morning!  I was by myself in the box office for the first 2 1/2 hours.  Usually, it's pretty quiet on Thursdays.  Well, NOT TODAY!!!  The phone just kept ringing!  Crazy!!!  Then Jon showed up and the phones quieted down.  Of course.

Rehearsal tonight for the Gala.  I really need to memorize that stuff.

Day 229: August 17, 2011

We're a little understaffed in the box office this week and next.  Rehearsals are going on for Annie Warbucks and one of our box office people is in the show.  Well, today I had to work for LOT so I wasn't scheduled for the CDP.  I went in anyway from 10 to 12 to help cover the phones.  They are usually the busiest during that time.  Well, NOT TODAY!!!  I ended up answering very few calls. Oh, well!  I'm there by myself tomorrow until 1 (with no back-up) and Friday until 3 (with some back-up).  We'll see how this goes.

Found a great new TV show!  It's an updated version of Sherlock Holmes, courtesy of the BBC.  Love it!

It really wasn't that exciting of a day.  I worked at the theater and then came home.  I finished watching Season 4 of Psych and now I have to figure out how to get ahold of Season 5 (which isn't available on Netflix Instant) before October when Season 6 starts on TV.

Got up a bit early (for a Monday).  Got my laundry done and my car serviced.  Then I worked all afternoon.  I spent the evening parked in front of my computer.  I did cross stitch while watching "Psych".  That is such a funny show!!!!

Church today.  I directed the choir for the last time!  We did "Come Thou  Fount" to the tune of "O My Father".  Turned out really nice!

Day 225: August 13, 2011

My day started out SUPER DUPER EARLY!!!  I was out the door by 6:45 am so that I could go to the temple this morning.  I arrived there just a little after 8 and was told I'd have to do the 9 o'clock session.  Well, the 8:30 wasn't as full as they thought, so I got onto that one!  The temple was CRAZY BUSY today, because they are closing until the beginning of October to do some repairs.

My drive to work was less than great.  I got stuck in a massive traffic jam between Longmont and Berthoud.  I was 1/2 an hour late for work!!!

Work was good.  The last two weekends of a show is when everyone decides they need to come, so the phones are usually fairly busy.  Wasn't too bad today, though.  Plus, Emily & Rebekah were there today, so that was fun!  They watched movies on our laptops in Shauna's office until Craig came to pick them up.

I finally saw the cast list for Scrooge!  I'm super excited!  This is going to be a great show!!

Day 224: August 12, 2011

Started out the day by going to the chiropractor.  He couldn't get my neck to move while I was sitting, so he had my lay on the back.  CRACK!!!!  Moved a ton!  I can now lift my right arm all the way up without pain!  I hope this adjustments sticks for awhile, because I haven't felt this good in months!  (Knock on wood!!!)

Work was work.  We are pretty much sold out this weekend and next week probably will be as well.  People are realizing that there isn't much time left to see this fabulous show! 

I got some new headshots taken this afternoon by my friend CJ.  I got to see the raw pictures and there are some good one.  I might actually be photogenic after all!  Huzzah!!

Today was MUCH better than yesterday.  Went to work this morning.  It was CRAZY BUSY for the first 2 hours.  The phone barely left my ear!!!

Family party tonight!  It was Tyler's birthday, for one, but also Peggy, Henry, Scott, Kathy, Kayla, & Kaitlyn are in town.  We had a great time tonight!!

Kayla and Emily are now best friends and they are going to write letters to each other.  How cute is that? 

Day 220: August 8, 2011

The day started out crappy.  I woke up with a horrible headache.  I felt sick to my stomach, too.  I ended up staying home all day.  I went back to bed for awhile and then pretty much spent the rest of the day sitting in my desk chair.  I was feeling a little better in the afternoon, so I took a shower.  I was thinking I could try to go up to the mountains as planned.  But I felt so sick and dizzy after my shower that I just stayed here.

This morning I was released from my calling as the choir director of the Twin Peaks Ward.  I've been doing that calling for THREE YEARS!!!!!  It's been fun and stressful all at the same time.  (Christmas was usually the most stressful.)

I got my scrapbooking caught up this afternoon.  Well, as much as I can with the pictures I have.  So, technically, I'm caught up through Ben's blessing day in May.  I ordered some more pictures, though.  Once they are here I will be able to get caught up through The Sound of Music!  Huzzah!!

Day 218: August 6, 2011

Sooooo....I was going to get up really early this morning and go to the temple.  But when my alarm started going off at 5:30 am, I kept hitting snooze and eventually just turned the darn thing off and slept until 8:30 am.  I'm horrible!!!  I need to go to the temple by next Saturday, because then it's going to be closed until the beginning of October!!!!!!

I got more scrapbooking done.  I'm now caught up through January!  Yay!!!

I watched the musical "Memphis" on Netflix Instant tonight.  It won the Tony for Best Musical last year.  What a great musical!  Wonderful music and a story with depth!  You don't get both of those very often anymore with new musicals.

Day 216: August 4, 2011

I got a little bit of cleaning done this morning, as well as one load of laundry.  Then it was off to the park for lunch with Robin & the kidlets.  That's right...I had the DAY OFF!!!!  What IS that?!?! 

Then I took Rebekah to see Winnie the Pooh at the Cinemark.  I had taken just Emily to a movie last month, so now it was Becky's turn.  We had a lot of fun!  After the movie (which is super cute), we went to McDonalds to get some ice cream sundaes.

As I was driving back home, I saw a kid walk across the main street in Wellington wearing a complete bunny costume.  In the middle of the summer.  What?!?!  Weirdest thing I've probably ever seen, and I've seen some weird stuff.

Back at home, I finished cleaning my room.  I still have some stacks of papers to sort through, by my desk is cleaned off enough to start scrapbooking.  And my shoes are all on their rack (at least for now!)

Gala rehearsal went pretty well.  The altos are dropping like flies.  Ugh!!!!

Day 215: August 3, 2011

It started out as any normal day.  And then I got a phone call from my bank.  My debit card number had been compromised.  Someone was charging stuff in SPAIN.  So now I have to get a new card.  And I have a bunch of charges that I luckily don't have to pay.  But I'm SUPER grateful for a diligent bank who called me to see if I was traveling in Spain.

Did a little too much shopping after work today.  Whoops!  But I got some cute clothes and some new cross stitch projects.  Then I went to a birthday party dinner at Old Chicago's for  my friend Brad.

Just another boring day at work.  Our group sales coordinator likened us to the Maytag repairman today...sitting around waiting for the phone to ring.

I can't believe it's August already.  This year is really flying by!!!!

Went over to my mom & dad's early for breakfast.  The Moffits left today, so we had breakfast before they left! 

Worked all afternoon.  Came home and watched "Morning Glory".  It was okay.  I finished my latest cross stitch project and got most of the French knots right!  Yay!!!!  I discovered that the Henry Awards were on TV, so I had fun watching that and trying to spot people that I know!  I saw a few!

I went to callbacks for Scrooge tonight.  I did only marginally well on the dance audition.  Then I read once in one scene and then sat around for 2 hours before I was released to go.  I missed all of the fun games at Grandpa's birthday party.  :(

Long day!  I didn't sleep well last night, but I had to get up kinda on the early side to get a bunch of stuff done before I went to work.  Well, I didn't get even half of that stuff done.  Oh, well.  Cleaning will have to wait.

Worked all afternoon.  We had a matinee today, so that always makes things interesting in the box office.  But we survived!  Craig & Robin & the kids came to see the show.  George got a little restless, so he had to come sit with me in the box office for awhile.  Luckily, I could get Blues Clues on Netflix Instant Streaming, so he watched that for awhile.  Then Mom & Dad came to get him.

Worked all day.  And by all day, I mean from 10 am to 7:30 pm!  Oi!!!  It's fun to work Will Call, but it makes for a long day.

I went to a church activity tonight!  GASP!!!!  It was Glow in the Dark Bowling with the Northern Colorado Mid-Singles.  I had a lot of fun!  I'm not very good at bowling but I still have fun doing it.  We went out to Sonic afterwards.  Had a good time!

Sleeping in...how great it is!!  I got my laundry done.  (Shoot...I just remembered that I didn't put it away.  It's all over my bed.  *sigh*)

Worked all afternoon.  Didn't eat lunch.  I need to stop doing that...the not eating lunch thing.

Drove around all over the place trying to find cheap avocados.  No such luck.  I finally got them 4 for $5.  That's way too expensive.  Boo!!!

Found out that I for sure made callbacks for Scrooge.  I'm called back for Ensemble.  Meaning...I need to do really well in the dance audition on Sunday night.  Fat chance of THAT happening.  Plus, I've seen who I'm up against.  They have ALL been cast there before.  And they can all dance.  UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!  Happy thoughts, happy thought, happy thoughts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Day 207: July 26, 2011

Just another day at work!  There were flies EVERYWHERE!  I spent quite a bit of time stalking them with a fly swatter today.  I even scared one to death.  That was pretty funny.  This one was on the window and I took a swing at him.  I obviously missed him (Dave and Bobbi were both watching me do this) but the fly just dropped.  We decided that I scared him.  Although, I probably just clipped him a little.  Dave did the same thing to a fly later in the day.  It looked like his missed, but the fly dropped.  Flies are strange, annoying little buggers.

Day 206: July 25, 2011

This has been a really long day!!!  I can usually sleep in on Monday mornings, but I had a hair appointment at 9 am, so I had to get up early!

So, I got my hairs did.  I now have bangs!  I've been thinking about them for awhile and decided to just go for it!  If I don't like it, I'll just grow them out.  No biggie!

I found out last night that I had to have a meeting at 5:00 today, so that meant that I had to reschedule my Scrooge audition.  I was supposed to audition at 5:25, and that obviously wasn't going to work.  Since I've been looking at the audition sign-up sheet pretty much every day for 2 weeks, I knew when the openings were, so I just went out to the theater early.  I was able to do my audition at about 1:45.  I think it went pretty well!  Peter already asked me to come to call backs, so that's a good sign.  I'm going to have to miss Grandpa's birthday dinner to go, though.  That's a bummer.

Once I got done at the theater, I went home and changed and then went to work for the rest of the afternoon.  Then I went grocery shopping and went home.  It's been really nice to just sit here at my desk all evening, doing nothing.  I haven't "done nothing" in a long time.  I've missed it.

Day 205: July 24, 2011

Started off the day early!  Had to be to church by 9:30 for a rehearsal.  My friend Emma sang in church today and I accompanied her.  The ONLY time we could practice was before church.  Sounded great! 

Closing day of The Sound of Music.  Bittersweet.  It's been a little stressful for me, what with the bizarre illnesses and all...but I did have a fun time with the show!  It turned out splendidly!  I'm so glad that I did it.  I kind of wish I could do one more show, but I'm also a little glad it's over.  Time to move on to the next thing!

Day 203: July 22, 2011

Worked all day.  I kept thinking it was Saturday.  Weird.

2nd weekend of The Sound of Music.  I had a brain fart onstage during my scene with Maria in the bedroom.  I'm supposed to be straightening the curtains while I'm talking to her.  Well, she was talking and I was supposed to cut her off, but I was focused on the curtains (because Britni had told me to make sure they looked okay.)  Suddenly, I realized that Cathy was trailing off and I said the first thing that came to mind, which was my previous line.  NOT the line I was supposed to say.  There was silence for what seemed like a millennium, but was actually probably about 3 seconds.  Then I said my correct line and we moved on.  UGH!!!  I hate it when that happens.  Especially when it's being filmed.  Which it was tonight.  Luckily, Mikeal told me that he would edit in the same scene from last week when I did it right.  Thank GOODNESS!!!!

Day 202: July 21, 2011

Well, this day was incredibly bizarre!  When I got to work this morning, the electricity at the theatre was going crazy.  Some things worked, some things didn't...some lights were flickering.  It was crazy weird!  After a couple of hours, they finally figured out that a bird had pecked into the breaker box and into a breaker.  Once that was fixed, everything was fine.  We had been able to work all that time, though, because our computers and phones worked...we just had to work with no lights. 

I worked Will Call for the show tonight and they had a problem with the knew P.O.S. (Point of Sale) System and the show was 20 minutes late in starting.  That meant that I worked a 10 hour day today.  Oy vey!!

What a long day!  I worked at the theater and then went immediately to the Rialto for Industry Night of The Sound of Music.  Only 3 more shows to go!!

Busy day at work today!  Phones were pretty steady and we did over $8000 worth of business!  Wow!!!

I finally got to see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 today (It opened last Friday).  What a great movie!  The end of an era, and what an era it was!

Sleeping in...what a wonderful thing!  I love it!!!

I worked for a few hours today.  Juliana is out of town with the computer so I was a little limited in what I could do, but I got a fair amount done.  The postcards are organized into piles of 100.  Go me!

I went to Wal-Mart.  I went to the bank.  I went to King Soopers.  Then I went home.  It was SO FREAKING HOT OUTSIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We went to the Rockies game last night with the ward.  The Rockies lost, but we still had a good time.  I love going to Coors Field!!!

I was awakened super early this morning by my stupid neighbor mowing his lawn.  I don't know whether he has crap in his yard that he just runs over or if there is something wrong with his lawn mower.  But every 30 seconds or so there is an AWFUL crunching/grinding sound.  Ugh!!!!

Went to church and then off to the theater.  The show went well tonight.

Well, today pretty much went to crap.  My tongue is still giving me problems.

I headed out around noon and went to work.  My car started overheating again, just like last night, so I took it in to my mechanic.  Who knows how much this repair is going to run me.  Ugh!!!  I have Mom & Dad's car now, but I have to give it back on Friday night because they need it on Saturday morning.

I worked for a few hours this afternoon, but I don't feel good still.  Rehearsal went okay.  I'm ready for this show to be open and then closed.  I'm having fun, but not as much fun as I could since I feel like crap on a stick.

Had to go to work today.  Even though it was hard to talk, I still had to sit there and answer the phone.

Dress rehearsal for The Sound of Music went pretty well.  I hope I'm feeling better by the end of the week when we actually have an audience.

My car overheated on the way to rehearsal, but I didn't have time to do anything about it.  Grrrr..

I couldn't hide in my bed all day, so I got up.  Went to work for a few hours in the afternoon.  I can barely talk, which made rehearsal interesting tonight.  Luckily, I don't have that many lines!  And it was just a 1st tech rehearsal, so we didn't even get through the whole show.

Well, this day didn't turn out like I planned it.  I was sick and stayed home in bed all day.  The canker sores are back on my tongue (WORST TIMING EVER!!!).

I had to work for a little while this morning.  Not too much, but still work on a Saturday...not my favorite thing! 


I had rehearsal all afternoon.  It was my first full run through of the show (Everyone else's 3rd, since I was gone on Tuesday and Wednesday.)  It went pretty well.  I know my lines, but I'm not 100% comfortable yet with my blocking.  But I'll be fine by next Friday.  I tried on my costume and it looks really great!  I like it a lot!!  Yay!!!

Day 189: July 8, 2011

Best news today!!  They announced the site of the Fort Collins temple.  It's going to be at the South east corner of Trilby & Timberline, right across the street from the Trilby building.  Not only is that IN OUR STAKE BOUNDARIES (for now), but it's also TEN MINUTES FROM MY HOUSE!!!!!  I'm so excited!!

Today was a busy day.  Chiropractor, work, worked Will Call, Loveland Loves Barbeque, and then home.  Looooooooooooooooong day!!!  I was on my feet for the last 2 hours of work and then I walked a lot when I was downtown.  My feet HURT!!!!

Day 188: July 7, 2011

We left from Peg & Henry's house at 8:30 am.  We immediately got stuck in a massive traffic jam on I-15. It took us 45 minutes to get to I-84, when it normally should have taken like 5.  Turns out that there was a guy trying to jump off a bridge above the interstate in Riverdale.  They shut the road down completely, so traffic just crawled.  When we drove by, we saw the cops trying to talk the guy down!

Once we got onto I-84, we got stuck in more slow traffic, which was a residual effect from the I-15 jam.  Once we finally broke free of that, Amanda drove super fast and we got out of there quick!  It ended up taking us over 8 hours to get home and it normally takes about 7 or so.  Ugh...so much time in the car today!!

I finally got home after 6 pm and I had a rehearsal at 7.  I haven't even unpacked my stuff yet.  I don't know that I'll even get to that until Saturday.

Day 187: July 6, 2011

Last 1/2 day on the farm.  We had a great breakfast and got packed up.  We left for Utah around 1:00 pm.  We arrived at Peggy & Henry's house and then we kind of scattered.   Neal & Amanda went to Salt Lake to meet a friend of Neal's from his mission.  Craig, Robin, & the kids went to Salt Lake to visit Robin's aunt.  Shauna and I went to see the show "Civil War" in Centerville.  (Peg & Henry had the tickets for that night and couldn't exchange them, so they gave them to us!)  The show was okay.  I was a little disappointed.  It wasn't as emotionally engaging as I felt it could have been.  The music was good, and one song I really loved.  But overall, it wasn't that great.

I don't like driving in Utah, but I drove Peg & Henry's car to Centerville, because Shauna left her driver's license in her car and it was on it's way to Salt Lake!  But it really wasn't that bad. 

Day 186: July 5, 2011

We got up super early and went to the Twin Falls temple.  Craig and Robin went to the early session and we came over later with the kids and went to the 10:00 am session.  I love being in the temple.  It's a feeling like none other in there!

Next we went over to the Snake River overlook.  Such a beautiful canyon!  Then we went over to Shoshone Falls.  We had a picnic and then went down to look at the falls.  They are huge!  And so pretty!  It was SUPER hot.  I got sunburned on the back of my neck and arms.  Luckily, it doesn't hurt that bad.

We got back to the house and we swam in the yard!  They water the lawn by opening the flood gate from the canal and letting it flood the yard.  We played in the water right where it was coming out.  The kids had a blast!  It was great to sit there in the cool water.  Especially after being so hot that day!!

Misty came about 8:30 or 9 and we ended up staying until 2 talking!  Fun!!  :)

Day 185: July 4, 2011

We arrived at 2J Ranch at 4:00 am!  Looooooong drive!!!!  Mom & Alton were up and waiting for us on the porch!!  We went right to bed and I was up by 8:30 am.  Oi, what a restless night!!!

We went to the Scout breakfast at the church, then came back to the farm.  When we went back for the 4th of July parade.  When we got back, we had a great lunch.  I met one of Dad's cousins on the Olsen side that I've never met before.

My allergies started acting up, so I went inside and ended up falling asleep on the couch.  I slept for about 2 hours and that gave me my 2nd wind for the night.

We had purchased some fireworks in Wyoming and we had a lot of fun setting them off out by the road.  Emily got freaked out a little, but the other kids liked them.

Day 184: July 3, 2011

I taught the lesson in Relief Society today.  It was on President Eyring's talk from the last conference about service and the welfare program.  I turned it around to talk about how helping with the big service projects and helping clean up from natural disasters is great, but finding the little ways to serve every day is just as good.  I think it turned out okay.  I really don't like teaching, but I did the best I could!

We left for Idaho at 6:00 pm.  Looooooong time in the car!

Day 183: July 2, 2011

Today turned out to be a great day!  It was just chores this morning, but I got my laundry done and my bathroom cleaned.  I was going to clean my room, too, but I didn't feel like it. 

I got to spend the afternoon and evening with Emily.  She is riding to Idaho with us tomorrow night, and everyone else left today.  So we went to see a movie, then out to dinner, then back to Mom & Dad's house and watched another movie!  We had a lot of fun!!

For many reasons, today was great!

Day 182: July 1, 2011

In case you were wondering, it takes 2 hours & 45 minutes to burn 50 CDs with 18 1/2 minutes worth of music each.  Ugh.  But at least I got paid to do that.

Just another day of working.  This is my life.  Work work work.  I need a vacation!  Good thing I'm going on one, starting Sunday night!!!

Day 181: June 30, 2011

I wouldn't say today was bad...but I wouldn't say it was a good day.  I'm really glad it's over.

I had promised the director of "Annie Warbucks" that I would make copies of the script for the kids.  Well, he got me the pages numbers and stuff today, so I set out to make all the copies.  Shauna had already copied everything for herself, so I just had to use that.  Easy, right?  WRONG!!!  I couldn't find her script.  I could find the music, but not the script.  So when I copied them music, that went just fine.  However, I had to use the actual script for the copies and the copy machine was being a FREAKING PAIN IN THE BUTT!!!  I literally kicked it like three times and hit it once.  It kept copying pages in the wrong direction.  Or it would jam.  Finally, I used the printer/scanner combo to copy the main copies and then ran all the other copies on the big copier.  But then, it didn't have enough memory to run the whole thing at once, so I had to break it up into sections.  Ugh...it took FOREVER!!!  And the heat coming off the copier was INSANE!!  I was so hot!  And totally exhausted by the time I was done.  But everything's copied.  The girls can have their scripts on Saturday.

Crazy rain today!!!  Big thunderstorms!!!

Gala rehearsal tonight.  I am wondering how I'm going to learn all that music with everything else going on.  Ugh.

You know, if someone had me under surveillance, they would be bored out of their skulls watching me.

Today...I worked.  And then I worked some more.  And then I went home and watched Robin Hood on DVD.  What an exciting day!!!  Not.

Worked all day, rehearsed all evening.  I'm sensing a running theme here...

The only bummer of the day was that I couldn't go see the Pirates exhibit at the museum with my family.  Stupid work.

Day 178: June 27, 2011

Woke up with cramps.  Ugh!!!  I don't get them very often, but when I do, they are not fun.  Spent a good portion of the morning laying on the floor with my legs up on my chair.  That, and the Ibuprofen, took care of them for most of the day.  I had to take more Ibuprofen tonight.  Feeling better at the moment.

Worked today.  That's about it.  Oh, and a short rehearsal for the nuns.  Kinda lazy day, really.  Good, since I didn't really feel all that great.

Day 177: June 26, 2011

Long day!!!  Started with the early session of Stake Conference.  It started at 9!  Ugh, that's early for me right now!  I never have to be anywhere earlier than 10 am!!!  But I made it.  The session was great!  I really do love it when we have a visiting authority.  They are always amazing!!

I stayed after and sang with the choir in the 2nd session as a favor to Melissa.  Then I went home.

Tonight we had a fundraiser concert for LOT, "Salute to America".  I sang in the choral number at the end.  It was the Wilhousky "Battle Hymn of the Republic", which I've known forever.  It was a lot of fun!  The whole concert was fabulous!

Day 176: June 25, 2011

I had to work today.  I don't like working on Saturdays, but I do it when I need to.  Heck, it's a paycheck.

Stake Conference tonight was very good!  We have a visiting General Authority, Elder Payne.  I'm excited to hear more from him tomorrow!

Day 175: June 24, 2011

An uneventful day at work.  Then a trip to the temple!  I was going to do baptisms with my ward, but there were way too many people, so I did an endowment session instead.  Wonderful night at the temple!

Not that much exciting today.  I worked.  What else is new?

I finished watching MI-5.  I'd kind of like to watch the next season, but Richard Armitage won't be on it, so what's the point?

Day 173: June 22, 2011

Work...work...voice lesson...rehearsal.  Typical Wednesday.  But included in that were 4 episodes of Robin Hood.  And one episode of MI-5.  I really need to do something about this obsession with Richard Armitage.  I am NEVER going to meet the guy.

Ben is in the hospital again with respiratory problems.  Poor little guy!  :(

Day 172: June 21, 2011

I finished reading the Book of Mormon today for the 2nd time in less than a year.  Go me!  I'm going to read it again before the year is over.  3 times in a year?  That's definitely a new record!  For me, at least!

It seemed like such a waste of sunshine on the first day summer for me to stay inside all day.  So when I got home from work, I put on my swimsuit and laid outside for awhile.  I got some odd sun burns, but they can't be too bad.  I wasn't out there for that long.  Maybe 45 minutes or so.

Day 171: June 20, 2011

I woke up this morning with a stuffed up nose.  Actually, I woke up several times in the night with intense pain in my shoulder.  STUPID NECK AND SHOULDER!!!!!  I JUST got a massage and went to the chiropractor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Had a lazy morning, worked for LOT in the afternoon, and had rehearsal tonight.  It was music rehearsal for the nuns.  Guess who got the chant solos?  ME!!!!  I'm very excited!!!

Happy Father's Day!!  Church was good today.  I especially liked Alaina's lesson in Relief Society on Temples.

Family dinner tonight.  Lots of GOOD eats!!!

Oy, my shoulder and neck are KILLING ME tonight!  And I just had a massage and went to the chiropractor.  What is up?!?!

Day 169: June 18, 2011

I stayed up too late last night, so I slept in this morning.  Then I had a staff meeting, since Juliana will be out of town on Monday when we normally have it.  Then I hit the grocery store and came home.  I got all my laundry done!  Woot!  Then I went to opening night of Big River.  Great show!!

Day 168: June 17, 2011

Worked all day and then stayed at the theater for dinner and the final dress rehearsal of Big River.  What a great show!  I watched it through the camera, though, since I was taking pictures for Shauna.

Worked at the theater today.  Another slow day on the phones.  I hope it picks up once the show opens.  I watched 4 episodes of LOST today!

Tonight I went over to Greeley for Loveland Opera Theatre's Finding Truth in Singing Recital.  It's our weeklong workshop, and today was the final recital.  Everyone sang really great!!

Day 165: June 14, 2011

The theme for the day was:  Stress.  Okay, that's not totally true.  The theme for the late afternoon/early evening was Stress.  Work was actually kinda boring.  It was slow, which is typical for tech week.  Many people wait until the show opens before they get their reservations.  I spent the morning working the time-lapse video of changeover.  22 hours of video that needs to sped up to be 6 or 7 minutes.  Easier said than done.  I don't think I have the right software.  Crap.

The stress came when I found out that the rehearsal schedule had changed for this evening.  I had thought that I would have until 8:00, but it turned out that I only had until 6:30 before I had to be at rehearsal.  I had several things to do for LOT.  I got as much done as I could, but I still have to go in tomorrow, when I once again have rehearsal starting at 6:30.   Oi.
