Happy Halloween! I didn't have a costume this year, which is kind of a bummer. I've been busy...and sick. And I didn't go to any parties or anything. So it would have been a waste of money. So I just said that I was dressed as a working actor with a sinus infection.
I went to the doctor for the sinus infection. Then I went to work. Then I went to pick up my prescription, and discovered that the pharmacy was out of it. Really?! They couldn't call and tell me?! So I had to drive all the way across town to the other King Soopers. Then I had to do my grocery shopping there and I couldn't find everything!! It's set up totally different than the north King Soopers! I just had to wander around until I found everything. So annoying!!!

Early church! It's going to take some getting used to, that's for sure! I haven't had 9 am church in years! And choir before? I can do this....
The nice thing about early church is having the whole afternoon free. Well, at least for now... Once Scrooge opens? I'll be going going going from 8:15 am to 5 pm. Oy.
Rehearsal tonight was fun! We are going to have a BLAST with this show!

Slept in, pretty much vegged all morning. Worked all afternoon. Went to Walmart and Walgreens. Came home and ate dinner. Meeting with my new bishopric. Spent the rest of the evening watching TV and playing Words with Friends and Angry Birds.

Day 299: October 26, 2011
What a crazy day! I drove out to the theater in the snow. The roads weren't as bad as I thought they were going to be, but it was still a little on the scary side. We had phones, internet and power at first. But the phones and internet went out around noon and then we lost power a little after 1. Dave sent me home at 2 and Jon was supposed to call me when the power came back on. It came back on at 3:30, but Jon didn't think it was too busy, so he didn't call me. Rehearsal was cancelled, though, so I got the afternoon off! I would have stayed in for the night, but I had a temple recommend interview at the Stake Center at 7:40. So I ventured out into the cold. The roads are mostly dry, so it wasn't bad. Just c-c-c-COLD!!!!
We didn't have internet at the house all afternoon, which isn't that big of a deal, but it drove me a little nuts! It was weird not having access to the internet!! But it's back on tonight! Just in time for me to go to bed! Go figure.

Well, first I slept in until almost 9. That's always amazing when I do that. So refreshing!!!
I worked all afternoon and then went over to Mom and Dad's after dinner. We had the last fire of the season. Snow is coming!

I got up early today and went to my new ward for the first time. I knew more people than I thought I would. But it's going to take me awhile to get used to being in a family ward. Except for 7 months in the University 2nd Ward and 10 weeks of going to the Lakeside Ward one summer, I have been in singles wards for 15 years. Yikes.
I also went up to Ft. Collins to the Wellington Ward because they were doing their Primary Program. (So that was 2 Primary Programs today...)

Ahhhhhh....a day off! A COMPLETE day off. That's something I haven't had in awhile. I've always had something going on, even if I didn't have to work. But not today!!! The only time I left the house was to go get my paycheck, go to pick up my new contacts, deposit my check in the bank, and then go to Hobby Lobby. The rest of the day was spent at home. I did my laundry, changed my sheets, cleaned my bathroom, finished my book, and watched a ton of TV. It was grand!

Loooooooong day!!! I was at the theatre from 10:00 am until almost 8:00 pm. Not because of rehearsal (that starts next week!) but because of the Elvis concert. I worked will call. We were completely sold out, so we were SO BUSY! People everywhere!!! Gah!!!!

Today was the big YSA Conference. I practiced like crazy to be ready to play the piano for the choir. I made a few mistakes, but overall it was a good performance. But wow...I haven't practiced the piano that much in years!!!

- Choir practice went well. I'm hoping I can hold it together tomorrow at the meeting.
- Lunch at Red Robin for Rebekah's birthday!
- Back home for a little while.
- Went to Denver. Got lost trying to find Jordan's house, so I ended up spending $12 to park at the Denver Center!!
- Went to the Colorado Mormon Chorale concert. It was so good!
- Back home! I'm so done with the Interstate for awhile. Too much time in the car today!

Voice lesson...got my song picked for Christmas. So weird to be singing Christmas songs in October.

Choir and church this morning, then dinner at Mom & Dad's for the October Birthday Girls.
Claire came over and we sang "Tutti i fior" for Grandma and Grandpa!
I found today that my records were read into the Bison Ridge Ward. I guess I'm going to switch now. I have kept putting it off, because things keep coming up. But now I'm official.

Day 281: October 8, 2011
Gala Day!!! I slept in until 9:30 (which took some forcing, since I was wide awake at like 6:30. For no apparent reason!)
I pretty much chilled all day. I wasn't feeling 100% great and I needed my energy for tonight!
The LOT Gala, Everybody Loves Puccini, was a HUGE SUCCESS!!! We almost completely sold out the house, which never happens! There are also only a few silent auction items left! Huzzah!!!
My duet went well. We sounded good and only rewrote a few of the words. ;) Emily and Rebekah both did very well in the stage debuts. It's a good thing all of their stuff was in the second half, because I don't think they would have made it through Act 2.
Ahhhh....now the Gala is over. I can prepare to start focusing on Scrooge!

Worked all day and then raced to the Rialto for Gala dress rehearsal. I've been in a panic about my song not being totally memorized. Well, I've got the memorization part done, now I just have to get into the "comfortable" stage...where I don't have to think crazy hard to make sure I sing the right thing! Good thing I have two more days! I'll be singing it constantly. Hope no one minds.

Another day of working, working, working. I work so much, yet I never have any money. I guess that's what I get for working in theatre.
I got to see the wonderful and lovely Michelle Hudson Woodland today! She and her husband were passing through on their way back to Idaho, and they came by the theater! Shauna gave them a tour, but I had to stay on the phones, so I didn't get to see them for very long.

Conference!!! I watched both sessions at Mom & Dad's house, with dinner at Grandma and Grandpa's in between.
I played with my phone all day! So many things to learn. I've never had an android phone before. It's taking some getting used to. I've had Blackberrys for so long now, I got accustomed to some of those features that I have been unable to find on my new phone. Hmmm...
Watch The Amazing Race, Glee, and Pan Am at Shauna's house tonight with her and her 65 pound lap dog. Silly Ashlin!

Day 274: October 1, 2011
An extremely long day! Started with Gala rehearsal at 9:30 am. Having to sing opera that early is cruel and unusual punishment. But I warmed up in the shower and sang my song along with my iPod 3 times in the car, so I was ready.
Lunch at Good Times with Craig and Emily and then off to work until 7:30! Stopped at Wal-Mart on the way home and then came home and crashed! My new phone had arrived, but it had to charge before I could do anything with it. So I let it charge overnight.

I worked. A lot. That about sums up my day. I worked Will Call tonight, so that means I was on the clock from 10 am to 7:30 pm. That makes for a long day, especially when the last 1 1/2 to 2 hours is spent entirely on my feet.
