Day 119: April 29, 2011

I didn't get up super early to watch the Royal Wedding today, but I did watch the highlights.  Fairy tales do come true!  A commoner is now a princess!

I auditioned for "The Sound of Music" with Up in Lights today.  I thought it went pretty well!  Craig auditioned as well, and Emily is auditioning tomorrow!!  Yay!!!

Day 118: April 28, 2011

Tonight I went to the BYU Singers concert at TVHS.  What a great concert!  Sometimes I miss being in a really good choir, but then I remember that I'd probably have to give up theatre in order to commit to a choir all the time.  So I'm happy with my church choir.  :)

Slept in again today.  It's nice to be able to do that, but I really need to find another job.

Went to the LCS rehearsal again tonight to take notes on the actors.  They have a really cute show.  A wide variety of music!

Busy day at work!  The phones were ringing off the hook!  It sure does make the time go faster!

Amanda went through the temple last night.  It was nice to have the whole family in the temple.  :)

Day 115: April 25, 2011

I slept in until 9:30 this morning.  Sure, I was up really late last night...but sleeping past nine is always a plus!

Tonight we went up to the Fort Collins mall to see a piece of Emily's artwork at the school district art show.  Then we spent like an hour and a half in the food court.  The kids are hilarious!  That is all.  :)

Day 114: April 24, 2011

Happy Easter!!!

Today started out with choir practice early...which only 3 people showed up for.  So we didn't practice early.  But everyone else showed up at the normal time.  And we sang very well in Sacrament Meeting.  It was a nice arrangement of "He is Risen."  I think hightailed it to the Stake Center to sing with the Bison Ridge Ward choir.  They needed a little extra help...and I really should be going to that ward anyway.  Maybe soon.

I went up to Wellington tonight to watch the kids so that Robin could go see "Savior of the World" again.  We had a "pajama party", even though I wasn't wearing pajamas.  (10 points to me for getting the girls to put the pajamas on early without a fight!!)  We danced around to "Bye Bye Birdie", read stories, and watched "The Amazing Race."  Once the kids were all in bed, I watched "Doubt."  Great movie!!

Mildly scary drive home in the rain (not as bad as last Thursday!!)  Now if I could just get totally better to I can sing well at my auditions this coming weekend!!

Day 113: April 23, 2011

I went and rescued Shauna at Goodwill today.  She bought a small couch and it wouldn't fit in her car.  So I had to drive over and get the truck and then go over to get the couch. 

We saw the Fort Collins Stake production of "Savior of the World:  His Birth and His Resurrection" today.  Craig was playing Eli, one of the shepherds.  Wow, that is such a powerful show.  I cried several times.  There were things that I liked better from when we did the show three years ago, and some things that I liked better today.  Overall, a good show!!   I had Emily on my lap for most of the show...and it's a long show!  She kept fidgeting and I would tell her something that was going to happen.  She kept saying "How did you know that?"  and I kept saying "Because I've done this show before!!"  It was pretty funny!

Now I can't stop watching "The Ten Commandments" on TV.  There's just something about Charleton Heston and Yul Brenner.  I turned it off for awhile, but now I'm watching it again!!!!  There's still 45 minutes left...I'm going to make myself turn it off.  I don't need to watch this movie every time it's on TV!!

Day 112: April 22, 2011

Still feeling sick.  Well, actually I FELT better today, but my nose is still super stuffed up.  And I can't use Afrin again until Monday.  Boo.

I managed to sing through the gunk, though.  (Since I was singing Alto & 2nd Soprano).  We sang for a thing at church tonight called "Reflections on Christ".  It was a super neat program, very spiritual!  We sang "Because He Lives" by Sally DeFord.  And by "we", I mean me, Amanda, Shauna, Dad, & Brian!

Day 111: April 21, 2011

Still feeling sick off and on.  It really sucks!!!!!!

I went to Emily's music program at her school tonight.  Very cute! 

Drove home in a CRAZY lighting/thunder/rainstorm.  Well, I didn't hear the thunder, but definitely saw the amazing lightning!  And the rain was ridiculous!!

Day 110: April 20, 2011

I waited too long to go to the doctor for this confounded sinus infection.  I'm not getting over it very quickly.  BOO!!!

I'm a little too obsessed with "North & South".  I watched it again today.  The whole thing.  (I actually watched the 4th part twice.)  I really need to get a life.

Day 109: April 19, 2011

Well, today kinda sucked.  Felt like crap most of the day.  I really hate being sick!!!

I went to the Loveland Choral Society rehearsal tonight and took notes for them on the acting part of their upcoming show.  It was fun!  :)

Saw the BEST movie today!  It was a 4 part BBC miniseries, "North and South".  I'm going to watch the last episode again tomorrow.  It was SOOOOO GOOOOOOOOOOOD!!!!!

Day 108: April 18, 2011

Soooooo sick today.  Felt like CRAP!!!  I went to the doctor at 1:00 and got some antibiotics and some prednisone.  Should be right as rain soon.  But not soon enough!!!  I hate being sick.  Stupid sinus infection!!!!

Day 107: April 17, 2011

Amanda and I sang "O Divine Redeemer" in two wards this morning.  Not an easy feat with a sinus infection, but I made it through!!

Benji has RSV and they admitted him to the hospital.  They had him on oxygen to help with his breathing.  Poor little guy.  :(  The older kids get to spend the night at Grandma and Grandpa's while Robin stays over night in the hospital with Benji.

Day 106: April 16, 2011

Spent most of the day either asleep or just chilling.  I feel so sick from this stupid sinus infection.  But I still went to Denver for Dad's choir concert.  It was great!  Had fun at Red Robin after the concert.

Day 105: April 15, 2011

I fought the sinus infection and the sinus infection won.  I have lost the battle.  I must go to the doctor.  Unfortunately, I can't get in to see him until Monday at 1 pm!!!!  I have to suffer through until then...and I have to sing in church on Sunday.  Good thing I'm singing low!!

Tax refund finally came today.  It was mailed to Mom & Dad's house.  Not to me...and was not automatically deposited like I had actually requested.  Weird!!!!!!!

Day 104: April 14, 2011

Welcome to Springtime in the Rockies!  It snowed last night!  Very wet and very heavy.  So basically slush.

My day started off not so good because of the snow.  I broke a windshield wiper (I should know better than to try to let the wipers take care of wet, heavy snow.)  When I went to the post office, I rolled down the window to mail something...and slush fell into the car.  I tried to wipe it off and succeeded in soaking my glove.  Then I went to Dazbog to get some hot chocolate.  As I walked out of there, some snow fell on my head and down my shirt!  I thought that I had wiped it off my head, but when I got to the theatre and walked in, it melted and dripped down my face!!!  And that was like 10 minutes after I left Dazbog!!  Crazy!!

I'm hoping this was the last snowfall of the season.  I am SO OVER winter!!

Today is my dad's 70th birthday!  No one believes that he's 70.  I'm very thankful for YOUNG GENES!!!

I got a pair of $44 capris for $11 today.  Boo-yah!  30% off + $10 in Kohls Cash = Winning!

Day 102: April 12, 2011

1 year ago today, we left for England!!!

Today was a busy day at work!  We were glad, because it's been pretty quiet for awhile.  I guess word is getting out that The King and I is AWESOME!!!

Went to Mom's duet recital tonight.  It was great!

Day 101: April 11, 2011

I didn't sleep very well last night.  My stupid shoulder hurts.  And I feel like I am coming down with another sinus infection.  Ugh.  SOOO don't need that right now!!

After work today, I went and helped one of my mom's piano students with her audition song for "The Sound of Music".  It was fun to be a coach for awhile, and I got paid!  Woot!

Went out to dinner with some friends to celebrate my friend Josh's birthday.  Good times had by all at the Asian Cafe!

Day 100: April 10, 2011

Long day!!  Church is only 3 hours, but I go an hour early for choir.  And I stayed an hour after to wait for Shauna to get out of her meeting.  5 hours at church!!!

Tonight Amanda and I sang "Oh, Divine Redeemer" at a Single Adult fireside.  I had to play the piano for the prelude and opening song, too.  I forgot to take off my hoodie.  So when I got up to sing, I realized that I still had it on.  It would have been obvious to take it off in front of everybody, so I just unzipped it and hoped no one noticed!!!

Day 99: April 9, 2011

Today was a lazy day.  I haven't had one of those in awhile (at least, not one when I'm not sick!)  I got my laundry done, cleaned my bathroom.  Pretty much chilled all day.  Relaxing....ahhhhhhhhhhhh!

Long day, but fun!!!  Yummy homemade Chinese food for dinner, saw the pictures from Hong Kong, watched the kids play.  They are so silly!!!

Oh, and EPIC FAIL for me!  I realized that I hadn't blogged all week.  Trying to reconstruct my week for blogging purposes was too hard.  I need to remember to blog every night, or at least the next morning!  So much excitement with the temple!  This blog slipped my mind!   Fail.

Day 97: April 7, 2011

Worked at the theatre again today and then came home.  Nothing else exciting happened today.  Oh, but I found out that the Hoch's poodle, Joey, passed away today.  He has been suffering a lot lately.  Arthritis and a tumor.  Poor Joey.  :(

Day 96: April 6, 2011

Worked at the theater today.  Then worked for LOT.  Then had a voice lesson.  Amanda came so we could sing "Oh, Divine Redeemer" for Juliana.

I was mentioned on the Colorado Everyday Show today!  Last night on their Facebook page they asked for funny pet names, because of the naming contest for that cobra that escaped from the Bronx Zoo.  I wrote in that my 9th Grade Science teacher had a snake named "Julius Squeezer".  AND THEY SAID IT ON THE AIR!!!  I didn't find out until later in the day, because I had been at work at the time.  But they have their show up on their website, so I looked and sure enough!!  I feel famous.

Worked all afternoon again.  I really need to get a morning job on the days I work for LOT.  Money is running out!

Worked all afternoon!  Which meant I was lazy all morning.  Still super excited about the new temple!!!

Day 93: April 3, 2011

Spent the entire day at my parents' house.  Watched both sessions of conference.

When I left my house this morning, it was like 50 degrees and sunny.  I wore capris and flip flops.  Well, it rained...then it snowed.  It's so cold!  Yesterday it was 80 degrees!  CRAZY COLORADO WEATHER!!!!

Day 92: April 2, 2011

Best news EVER!!!!  President Monson announced 3 new temples today at the morning session of General Conference.  The first one he listed?  FORT COLLINS, COLORADO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  We had to pause conference until the celebrations settled down!  We are SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  We have no idea where they are going to put it, but we eagerly await any and all news on that!!

Today was Amanda's bridal shower.  We had a lot of fun!

Also got to spend a lot of time playing with the kids today.  They never cease to be adorable!

All in all...A GREAT DAY!!!!

Day 91: April 1, 2011

A full day today!  Started out meeting Shauna at Target so that we could get the bridal shower present for Amanda.  They didn't have what we wanted at the Loveland Target, so we went to the Fort Collins one.  Got it there.  It's gonna be EPIC!!!  Then we went up to Wellington and took the kids (well, the three older ones) out to lunch at McDonalds.  That was a lot of fun!  The girls got George all the way up into the top the play place.  It was the funniest thing.  He smushed his face up on the plastic and we started laughing.  Then he started laughing.  So funny!!!

Worked in the afternoon.  I got a walk in.  I was wearing my new "Shape Ups" shoes today!  I needed to go to the bank, so I just walked there from Juliana's.  It's easier to walk than drive to that bank because there's no direct route to get there by car!

Tonight I sang at the Art Space event.  The Art Lab is in part of Almosta Merchantile and we did a LOT thing there tonight.  I sang the Habanera from Carmen.  It was fun!!

Weird...as of today I have lived here for 1 year!!

Day 90: March 31, 2011

Worked, I'm about 15 or 20 minutes away from finishing Season 2 of LOST (thanks to a slow day on the phones) practiced with Amanda (We are singing "Oh Divine Redeemer" in a couple of weeks.), ordered purple shoes for the wedding.
