Day 334: November 30, 2011

Yeah....I apparently have to get a lot of crap thrown at me to balance out the good stuff in my life.  Not only did I come down with a nasty cold, but I found out today that it would be at least $1300 to fix my car.  SOOOOOO not worth it.  I now have to buy a new car.  Which I can't afford.  This just plain SUCKS!!!

Worked at the theater all day.  Still feeling like I'm coming down with something.  Grrrr....

Day 332: November 28, 2011

Dragged a lot this morning.  I'm coming down with something.  Grrrrrrrr....

Worked all afternoon, then went out to the theater for my Oklahoma audition.  It went pretty well.  It's hard to sing when coming down with a cold, but I did alright.

Then the fun began...I drove to Mom & Dad's and my car almost overheated.  Ugh.  I was there for a little while and then went home and it almost overheated again.  So, I took it over to the mechanic, and who knows when I'll get it back.  Curses.

Day 331: November 27, 2011

Got up waaaaay too early.  Didn't make it on time for choir, but made it on time for church.  I had to give a talk.  I was given the subject of "A Sermon on the Mount Topic."  Gah!  Kinda broad.  But I decided on Matthew 5:48:  Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.  I think the talk went pretty well.  Hard subject, but I think I got my point across...that trying is perfection.  And we won't reach eternal perfection in this lifetime!

The show went pretty well.  I'm having a great time!!

We went to Brian & Steph's for dinner and Sunday Night Pirates.  There were a bunch of accidents on the Interstate.  Took forever to get there!  But we had yummy food and a lot of fun playing Pirates Cove and Life Twists and Turns.

Day 330: November 26, 2011

Went to the temple this morning with Shauna, Neal, & Amanda.  Wonderful as always!

We went to Deseret Book and IKEA afterwards.  Didn't get home until after 4 and I had to leave for the theater before 5:30.  Long day, but good!  And the show was better than Friday!  I got my scene changes!  And I got the waltz right for the 1st time ever.  Huzzah!

Day 329: November 25, 2011

Worked all day, and then had the show.  First show since Tech Week/Opening Weekend.  Yeeeeah....pretty interesting.  I forgot 2 of my scene changes.  Bad Angela!

Day 328: November 24, 2011

Today has been a great Thanksgiving!  I got up early to watch the Macy's Parade, only to find out that "Anything Goes" was performing on CBS and I missed it.  Then channel 9 went out on my TV, so I missed the Broadway shows they had.  But that was really the low point of the day.

Shauna, Melissa, & I went to see Breaking Dawn.  I ended up liking it better than I thought I would.  I have high expectations for Part 2!

Got my potatoes done just in time for dinner, and they turned out really good!  I have named them "Angela's Block Your Arteries Mashed Potatoes."  They had no milk in them, but they did have about a quart of sour cream!  Mmmmmmmmmmmmm.......

All of dinner was great!  I ate SO MUCH!!!!  But it was worth it, and I'll be burning it all off this weekend.  We've got another weekend of shows coming up, starting tomorrow!!!

Day 327: November 23, 2011

Slept in until 9.  (I really do love doing that.  Maybe a little too much.)  Worked all afternoon.  Started my food for tomorrow.  10 pounds of potatoes!!!!!!  I'll mash them tomorrow.  Oh, and my chocolate pie is looking really good.  Kinda want to eat it now!

Day 326: November 22, 2011

This was my first day working a full day in the box office since rehearsals started!  Crazy!!!  The last time I worked a full day was October 28th!  CRAZY!!!!  (My paycheck has reflected this.  Ouch!!)

Practiced "Gesu Bambino" with Mom & Jaclyn tonight.  It's gonna be BEAUTIFUL!!!!  Can't wait to perform it!!

Day 325: November 21, 2011

I slept in until after 9 this morning.  (Thanks, again, Tylenol PM!!)

Worked all afternoon, and then home for an evening of TV.  Life is back to normal!  At least, for a Monday.

Day 324: November 20, 2011

What a day!  I set my alarm for 7 am, so that I could hit snooze a few times before I got up.  Then I was wide awake at 6:40.  Really?!  Ugh....

Got to choir on time, got to stay for all but the last 5 minutes of church, and then it was off to the theater!!

I'm sure I'll eventually get "Getting Ready for the Show" down to a science, but today was a little crazy.  I had to work Will Call, which is fine, but having to go upstairs at 1:30 is a little crazy.  Not everyone has arrived by then, and my focus switches from "Box Office" to "Show" and I forget stuff.  Ugh...  But I got ready in just enough time.  I'm sure it will get easier!!!  Gosh, I hope so!

The show went fine.  I'm getting better at the hard stuff, but it's still a challenge.  I guess it's a good thing it's a challenge.  Keeps me from getting complacent!

Went to Shauna's for dinner and to catch up on TV shows.  We watch 3 episodes of "The Amazing Race" and 2 episodes of "Bones." 

I am so tired, and so sore, but this week really has been great.  Exhausting, but great!

Day 323: November 19, 2011

OPENING NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was fabulous!!!!!  Okay, so the show wasn't perfect, but it was the best we've done so far, and the audience loved it!  I am so happy with this show!  I'm excited to spend the rest of this year onstage with these fabulous people!!

It was absolutely thrilling for me as the curtain was rising.  I almost cried!  This is a dream 6 1/2 years in the making!  I have wanted to perform on the CDP stage since I first saw the plans for the building back in July of 2005!

A great day (I got to veg at home all day!) and a FANTASTIC EVENING!!!!!!

Day 322: November 18, 2011

Final Dress Rehearsal!!!!  It went WAY better than I had ever dreamed!  I'm feeling pretty good about opening tomorrow.  (Tonight...it's after midnight!!!)  I'm still kinda sketchy on a few things, but those will work themselves out.  I'm doing better at the dances, but I have a long way to go!!  But I'm good enough to open.  Now to refine!

But before that, I had a lazy morning and then worked for a couple of hours.

Oh, and this morning I watched Regis Philbin's final Live with Regis and Kelly.  I have watched him since I was a teenager.  I am not ashamed to admit that I shed a few tears this morning!

Day 321: November 17, 2011

I slept in this morning, which was divine.  (Thank you, Tylenol PM!)  I didn't have to be to the theater until later, so I got some things done I've been putting off.  Like getting my car serviced and an emissions test done.  I also bought a box of 700 Bobby Pins.  Something I've been meaning to do for a very long time.  And I'll probably lose most of them!  Oh, well!  They were cheap!

Rehearsal went pretty well.  I'm really glad we have one more day until opening.  It's getting there.  My dances were better tonight, so that's a good sign!  I just need to be more CONFIDENT!!!!!!!!!

Day 320: November 16, 2011

Feet....hurt.  Brain....hurts.

Another long day at the theater!  Tech rehearsal all afternoon and then the 1st full run through.  We didn't quite make it to the end, but we got close!  It's only Wednesday.  We don't open until Saturday.  I'm not panicking yet!  (But I am a little worried about a couple of the dance numbers where I blank out on half my choreography!!!)

I can sum up today in one word:  Rehearsal.

We teched Act 1 this afternoon and then had a sitzprobe tonight.  Loooooooong day at the theater!

Day 318: November 14, 2011

My last free day for a week.  We didn't have rehearsal today.  But tech week starts tomorrow!!  Gah!!!  I hope I'm ready!!!

I worked for LOT all afternoon.  I tried to get as much done as possible in case I can't come in again for the rest of the week.

Day 317: November 13, 2011

My last lazy day for quite awhile.  I went to church this morning, but then came home and pretty much vegged for the rest of the day.  I have to work all day tomorrow and then tech week begins for "Scrooge".  I won't have a day off until Thanksgiving.  Then I won't have a day off until Christmas Eve.  Oy to the vey!!  But I'm doing what I love and I'm getting paid for it, so I'll try not to complain.

I ate real food today!!  Yay!!!!

Rehearsal all afternoon.  Amazing how I can FORGET choreography so quickly.  Ugh!!!!  We open in a week.  I hope I'm ready!!

Day 315: November 11, 2011

11-11-11!!!

It's been a long day.  I worked, then had a rehearsal that my brain didn't fully attend.  Ugh!!!  Then I worked for LOT and then went back to the theatre to help with Will Call for tonight's show.  After that, I went to Wal-Mart to buy Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2.

I ate some real food today, but not all.  I didn't get dinner, just snacks tonight.  But it's nice to be eating real food again....even though it still hurts.  :(

Day 314: November 10, 2011

So over being sick.  I am HUNGRY!!!!!!  Work, rehearsal, and then home.  I feel like I've done nothing else for a week.  Oh, wait....I haven't.

I am so over this tongue thing.  Seriously.  It can go away NOW.  I miss eating.

Day 312: November 8, 2011

I got up early and went to the doctor this morning.  There has to be a reason these ulcers keep coming back.  She took a culture of it, so hopefully we'll see.

I went to work, then rehearsal.  Stopped by the pharmacy on the way home to pick up some cream for my tongue. 

I still can't eat anything.  It hurts so bad to eat!!!  Ugh!!!!!!

My tongue is still not better.  It hurts like crazy.  I am SO over this.

Day 310: November 6, 2011

I made it to all of church, and I even managed to sing in Relief Society as planned.  But my tongue still hurts.  :(

We had a vocal rehearsal tonight and it was hard to say the words.  Ugh.  I'm so over this sickness.

Day 309: November 5, 2011

I made it to rehearsal, but I thought I was going to die after we danced "December the 25th."  Not a good sign.  My tongue still hurts like crazy.  And I can't eat anything.  It hurts to eat!!!!

Day 308: November 4, 2011

No, THIS was the worst day after.  I woke up around 6, feeling really sick.  I went into the bathroom to try and throw up.  That didn't happen, but then I couldn't get off the floor.  When I finally made it back to bed, I slept until noon.  I completely forgot my doctor's appointment and my chiropractic appointment.  Ugh!!!!  I feel like I lost a whole day again.

I got out of rehearsal, and Shauna came and took me to Urgent Care.  The doctor thinks that the sores are Aphthous Ulcers and that they are caused by a virus.  She put me on an anti-viral like I had the first time.  She said there is a big sore on my throat.  She swabbed it, but it didn't show anything.  I'm also supposed to stop the antibiotic that I'm on for my sinus infection.  I'd been told I could possibly have an allergic reaction to it, even though I hadn't had it before.  That's what might be causing this, but it's odd because it's obviously a virus.

I HAVE to go to rehearsal tomorrow.  We are running Act 1!!!!!!!  GAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Dad and 3 missionaries came and gave me a blessing, though, so it'll be okay.

Day 307: November 3, 2011

This was the worst day ever.  Those stupid sores are back on my tongue.  I was late for work, so I only worked an hour.  Then I had rehearsal until after 5.  I didn't get to go to "The Lion King" at the Buell with the family, even though we've had the tickets FOREVER!!!  But I did meet them down at Cinzetti's for dinner.

Day 306: November 2, 2011

Woke up to a ton of snow!  Winter has definitely arrived.  I didn't have to be at rehearsal until noon, so I could be lazy this morning.  That was great, since I'm in so much pain.  Dancing is KICKING MY BUTT!!!!!

Rehearsal was in Loveland today, which was nice.  Shorter drive!  When we got done an hour early, I was able to go home for awhile before going to work.

I got a call from my bank.  My debit card number was stolen AGAIN, and used by a thief AGAIN.  Stupid freaking idiotic people with no morals who steal things.  Jerks.

I had a good voice lesson tonight.  I'm singing "Gesu Bambino" for Christmas this year.  Gorgeous song!

Day 305: November 1, 2011

First dance rehearsal day!  I am SO out of shape!!  I'm EXHAUSTED!!!!

It was a long day, too.  I went to work at 10 am and worked until 12, when rehearsal started.  When we had a break for 45 minutes, I worked some more, so that Jon could have a break.  Then more rehearsal!

When we got out of rehearsal, it was snowing like crazy!  But I went to Shauna's house and we watched Glee and Captain America.  I drove home in the crazy bad snow after 11.  So tired!!!
