Day 151: May 31, 2011

My throat didn't hurt this morning when I woke up, but it still feels a little funny.  I'm definitely fighting something off.  Ugh.  Bad timing, as always.  I'm so tired of being sick!!!

Picked up my script for The Sound of Music today and auditioned for the chant solo at the beginning of the show.  Despite being sick, I think I sounded pretty good!  Guess we'll see!

Day 150: May 30, 2011

Woke up still feeling sick (stupid sore throat!!) but went to work anyway.

I was supposed to go up to the mountains to meet the fam, but the wind was bad up there so they came down early.  We spent the afternoon at my parents' house.  Got some quality cuddle time with sweet little Benji!  All the kids are crazy maniacs....I wonder where they got that from?  Hmmmm....

Day 149: May 29, 2011

Good day at church.  My take-a-way (even though no one said this exactly) was that we are here on earth for 80-odd years of school, not on a vacation from heaven.

Spent the afternoon watching my new TV show obsession (not quite obsession, but bordering) MI-5 (A British spy drama known as "Spooks" in the UK.)  Thank heavens for Netflix Instant Viewing!!!

Starting feeling a little sick later in the afternoon.  Stupid sore throat.  Why am I getting sick AGAIN?!

Day 148: May 28, 2011

Today was a good day.  I got a lot of stuff done.  Oil changed in the car, cleaned the bathroom, made a whole pot of taco meat that will last me a month or more. 

Babysat the kiddos tonight so that Craig & Robin could go see "The King and I".  George was great, the girls were pills.  Those kids are maniacs!!!  Good thing they are cute!

Day 147: May 27, 2011

Just another day at work.  I finished Season 4 of LOST.

Went to Emily's dance concert tonight.  It's cute to see a bunch of little girls flocking around the stage like ducklings.  :)

Day 146: May 26, 2011

Left a little early for work today and went to Kohls.  I had ordered some flip flops online (because they didn't have the color I wanted in my size at the store).  I ordered the wrong size.  They were just a little too small.  There wasn't a way to exchange them through the mail, so I tried the store.  They did the return but then I had to call to get the new size ordered and the discount I had gotten to apply.  Turned out that they didn't have the correct size at all!  Oh, well.

Work was quiet today.  I was able to watch four episodes of LOST!  The phones are usually pretty dead on Thursdays, but today was worse.  Weird!!

Spent more quality time at the copier at Office Depot tonight.  Hopefully I won't have to do that again for awhile!  But all the music is ready for the Gala...at least for the singers.  I have to deal with the music for the accompanists next. Oy.

Long day.  I worked for 9 1/2 hours.  Ugh.

Day 145: May 25, 2011

I have been spending way too much time at the copy machine at Office Depot lately.  I really don't like it.  I'd much rather go to Kinkos.  But it's cheaper at Office Depot.  Ugh.  But I had fun flirting with the guy working in the copy center today!  I worked a lot of hour for LOT on Monday and today (more than usual), and I'm not done yet!  Soooooo many copies for the Gala!!

Tonight was the first rehearsal for The Sound of Music.  Not really a rehearsal, just an informational thing.  The scripts aren't in yet.  But we're ready to get started!  It's going to be a great show!  I'm looking forward to a fun summer with my UIL buddies!
